Dealing with stupid apartment neighbors.

So I got new apartment neighbors above me. Almost right after they move in I got in a fight with my alcoholic dad who was drunk at the time. He called my mom went outside and yelled that I watch porno everyday, I have no idea he would think this since he's at the bar almost all day everyday. So a few day later I'm using my computer in my bedroom while my neighbors where simultaneously in their bedroom. Any the guy above me kept on repetitively yelling that i'm watching porno at this point I'm not sure they are talking about me. After im done using my computer I turn on my TV the show thats on is in a different language the guy says "I'm done watching porno so I'm watching TV". Then he says "it's in a different language. This does it im going in the other room." At which point I turn off the TV. Im guessing after that they got that we are basically in different in the same house because I don't hear anything from them for months. All of a sudden I hear the neighbor talking very loudly and repeating that " I feels sorry for him. He has nothing better to do than eavesdrop and watch porno". WTF after months have gone by she randomly deduces that I'm eavesdropping. Pretty much everyday I read or use the computer in the living. I don't know why she randomly got it in her head that i'm interested in her life. But pretty much everyday they talk loudly in the living about me eavesdropping. They know I can hear them, they're basically talking loudly on purpose so I can hear them. It totally breaks my concentration and makes me feel uncomfortable being bullied in my room. I have to sleep with the TV on now because they talk loudly about me at night. I have fan going in my room that used to always be enough to keep out the excess noise. The TV reduces my sleep quality. How do I get them to shut up. Maybe turn the tv up loud at night. I'm on the brink of insanity. I have depression and social anxiety enough as it is. I told my mom and she told me im delusional and my dad is a sadistic alcoholic so I cant talk to him about it. I had a noose under my bed for the past few months. I'm think about going to an emergency mental health clinic. What piss's me off is they probably know how screwed up in the head I am because of my dad. It's like they are trying to purposely drive me crazy. What should I do.

That sounds like it could be psychotic symptoms. That sounds very unusual that your new neighbors would be able to monitor your actions that well and have the time and motivation to do so. It would be a good idea to get tested for that- especially since you are at the most common age it starts. Any doctor or therapist is forbidden by law from talking to anyone but you about your case without your written permission or a court order, which takes something very extreme to happen. The office staff may need to know little details, but can't tell others either. Hold up on the noose, this situation (except for your dad) might be treatable.

I do agree with John Browning, that you should get a mental health evaluation, if only to eliminate that as a possibility. However, you should also consider moving as soon as your lease is up. In the meantime, take steps to sound proof your apartment. Remember the sound proofing will work BOTH ways. They won't be able to hear you as well, and you won't be able to hear them good any more, either. Your local hardware store can give you some ideas on how to sound proof your place.

The sound proofing will also reduce the need for the TV noise, which will mean a lower, pleasanter volume level for you. It will be pleasanter for the neighbors as well. I'm sure they aren't happy you've been keeping the volume up so loud. This could be part of why they may have been making those comments about you.

So, get the med evaluation. Even if there is nothing seriously wrong, you are under a lot of stress and they may be able to help you with that. And then sound proof your place.

Thanks for the support. I probably will go to an institution. My insurance will pay for half of my mental treatment after after a 500 dollar deductible. I probably will end up going to an emergency mental health center. I'm unemployed and have no money, so the emergency center sounds like the only way to get help.

Go for it! Don't expect a resort, but it's designed to be tolerable while you get better. I've been inpatient before myself for depression.

If any psychological issues are ruled out, then I'd suggest using some earplugs while sleeping, and earphones (or better yet, noise-cancelling earphones or in-ear monitors that block out external sounds) for computer / TV. With that, there is absolutely no way your neighbors could tell what you are doing, and you wouldn't have to listen to them talking loudly about you, either.

Why not just make noise complaints to your apartment main office? 3 times and they are kicked out of the apartment.
