You were created to make a difference in this world.
You were made with different specifications to stand out from the crowd, to make a difference.
You were chosen to be blessed with gifts and talents because you are a beautiful individual,
to show neruotypicals a new perspective. Perhaps a way of looking at things they had never thought of themselves.
You are intelligent and supreme because you don't small talk for the sake of it. Unless you have someting usefull to say, you shut up.
You are obsessed with something because you possess talents other lack, the ability to reasearch and renew.

---

A few cheerful, comforting words to the others here with AS.
We might be different, but we are in no way disgusting, ugly or incomplete!

Embrace life! It is too short for grief

Those words give strength. Those words will bring AS people out of any dark pit they've fallen into due to the suffering caused by the NT world.

Thank you.

This should be like the Official AS Motto or something, replacing 'you' with 'we'. It should go right on the front of this site and make us all proud to be who we are!

:D I love the bit about new perspective.

Despite my troubles, I find hope in knowing I can offer thoughts and ideas that come from a place many wont dare to tread.

"We might be different, but we are in no way disgusting, ugly or incomplete! "

This is the best line though, for everything we lack, another strength emerges.

And perhaps it could be stuck on a poster for Autistic Pride Day.

Thanks! After being diagnosed, my thoughts were rushing like crazy so i thought a lot about the diagnosis I was given, researched it and gathered as much information as possible. I think most information about AS is presented in a negative way and that there are other ways do describe our "difference" from neurotypicals.
Feel free to come up with more sentences. I suggest this thread is made a sticky, so it can be a source of comfort whenever we feel down :)
