I'm not going into too much detail because it's complicated, long and drawn out, and probably either boring or Jerry Springer material, but remember my oldest son who hasn't talked to me or my oldest daughter in about 2 1/2 years? He's talking to me again. A little. Slowly. He wants to talk to his sister too, and she is open to that.

I'm not going to jinx this by talking about it too much, but that's been the biggest and most painful issue in my life since this happened almost three years ago. I had given up on things every getting worked out, even though I had tried.

Out of the blue, it's slowly starting to warm up. It will take a while and I am more than happy to have him back in my life no matter what he's said about me, or thought about me or felt about me since this has happened. I understand how he's in this situation where he's being manipulated like this by someone else because I was in something similar when I was his age. While I may never fully trust him again, or trust that I will be able to count on him, I'm just happy to have him back in my life, even for the very limited bit he's in it at the moment.

Lets hope this keeps going this way and I get my son back and he gets his head straightened out.

Great news! I don't know your story but I'm familiar with the theme. My mom and sister have been at odds for years and it wasn't until recently they started to talk as well.

It's hard being a parent, isn't it? Despite how horrible our kids can be, we will always love them and will always want them in our lives.
Take it one day at a time
