So.... a gal I met two years ago, whom I found has a BF (but we were never an item to begin with) is hurt because she thought I was jealous! I wanted to point out that I am happy for her, and that I had a bit of a crush on her, but I was rather upset at MYSELF for my shortcomings (no GF in my life due to various factors). She said she felt led on........

I feel crushed and hurt because I am soooo stupid. *sobs* I am such an idiot....... at times, it seems like the world is out to get me, and is just VINDICTIVE towards me!

Are you saying you're not hurt by her dating someone else but hurt by her assuming you're hurt? Because it would sting a whole lot more in the former case.

It's her just being conceited. You did nothing wrong here at all.

How do I know it's just her being conceited? Something like this happened to me about 5 years ago.

Yeah, it sounded like she was just on her high horse thinking that you were jealous just because you used to like her and she found someone else. So she takes her own problems and pushes them off on you, and makes you feel bad as a result.
