Hello. Disclosure first- i haven't been diagnosed with asperger's or a form of autism (saw a psychologist who pooh-poohed the notion, never bothered after that- though i've suspected myself to be autistic for a long while).
I'm 34, had what one might call a fairly successful career as a graphic artist in the animation/advertising industry before quitting a year ago (because i couldn't take dealing with people anymore). Due to a fit of anger/disappointment, i decided to delete all my accounts on social networks a week ago. Rationally, i see how that might have been a bad idea since I've spent about 10 years building up contacts/relationships there, but I'm also feeling a lot of anger towards those same people.
I guess my question is: i'm fairly certain i can live without friends, so that's cool- but professionally, can i afford to ignore the people i've worked with? Do any of you guys have any experience in this area? Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated~
