Has anyone inspired you?
Not sure where to put this. Has anyone, a actor, musician, author, non celebs ever inspired you in some way? I don't know what it's like to live in poverty and one of my favorite singers does. When I watched an episode of Behind the Music on VH1 and saw how this singer (Pitbull) lived I was in tears. I was bullied as a child due to the LD and aspergers so I got huge depression. My piano playing since age 5 kept me somewhat busy. Some of my piano teachers would compare me to other students and I felt that was very wrong. NEVER compare students to others! DUH!! It doesn't help! So this singer is now very wealthy I'm sure and his concerts are always filled with many fans mostly women though. In the episode though he explained how women would throw undies on stage. Ok that's going too far! I'm not one to do that to any singer no matter if the singer is hot or not.
I'm not the type of woman to scream and jump and down like a idiot at concerts either. Sure I will dance, but I won't scream so loud at the singer. The thing is when I listen to his music I feel so much happier and relieved. I'm taking zumba lessons and when the instructor plays his music I get excited. I actually memorized Bon Bon after two classes. I never thought a rap/hip hop singer like Pitbull and zumba would make me so much happier. I wanted him to know this and considering writing a short letter explaining how his music has made me happier person. Without zumba I go crazy. I need zumba. First class was hard, but after two classes I'm fine. I do zumba three times a week. I listen to Pitbull's music daily. I listen to ANYTHING though. I can listen to Christian music like Jeremy Camp or Casting Crowns. Now when I'm grieving over a loss, I do listen to Christian music because its very comforting. But just depression, like if I'm afraid of my health which I am A LOT, or someone at work made fun of me, or a stranger made me feel bad, or I'm afraid I will lose my job, or people think I'm stupid, I listen to Pitbull. Maybe it's the beat? When I listen to Castle Made of Sand I cry! How can a rap song make me sad? Pitbull lost his dad, dealt drugs, lived in poverty, made little money when he first started rapping, so that has to be painful. My parents are still together after many years of marriage. I never did drugs and don't want to. I don't particular rap because I'm not good. I'm a singer/pianist but not rap. I could probably sing Christina Aguilera's part in Feel This Moment. This all sounds crazy I think in a way to have a rap singer inspire me.
Here is a saying he put on his facebook page.
patience + passion + perseverance = success

When I was in my early twenties, I was inspired by Jim Morrison and the rock group the Doors. Jim sung songs about pain, sadness and despair that I could relate to. Twenty years on, I still like to hear them when they occassionally get radio play time.

Mick Avory of The Kinks has inspired me to be the best person that I want to be. He's of a very gentle and sensitive nature and I've decided four years ago this coming September that in order to ditch the dark and rebellious that I had that he would be the best role model for me. It also seems to be working most of the time. I've found that I'm also of that same gentle and sensitive nature that he is. I want the people on WP to see that and not to see my ranking and signature as just another joke. I try to stay out of trouble as much as I can on WP.
