A lot of pain in the past, ups and downs but quite happy right now, I predict much more happiness for the future....(Self)Knowledge is power

HUH? I'm happy now! I have been since I found out I have AS. It explains everything, etc... I just wish I found out a few years earlier.

The first 36 years of my life absolutely sucked but the last 3 have been fantastic and it gets better every day. It has taken a lot of effort and hard work but I am really happy right now.

When Shakespeare wrote "For never was there a story of more woe / Than this of Juliet and Romeo", he was wrong. The first 22 years of my life were far more depressing than that story. Sure, the were flashes of happiness, but they were few and far between. Then things slowly started to improve, and kept going up, to the point when suicidal thoughts vanished completely. Now things hit a plateau, where they're not getting better but not worse either. I'm hoping to get a full-time job, so I can more out of the house, and live happily ever after.
