I hate being an introvert!!

I feel like being an introvert is holding me back from a lot of things I want to do. I want to go into social work, but I feel that's more of an extrovert job, plus my bird passed away this week so IDK what to do anymore. How am I going to deal with other people's problems if I can't deal with my own? Also, the thought of going on job interviews is terrifying for me.

i wanted to be a social worker when i was your age also, until i witnessed a janitor discussing the finer points of counseling with one of the profs and i had not a clue as to what they were talking about. so that was another dream dashed.

I wish I could meet other Aspies who are social workers, but I bet there are hardly any.

I wish I was an extrovert also as it seems like I would be more accepted.

I recommend seeing if you can shadow a social worker to see if you would like it.
