Maybe you don't realise it BUT we have a thread just for people to air their grievances and problems . The problem is NOBODY seems to care ! !! !

http://www.wrongplanet.net/postp5717344.html#5717344

Come on guys and gals , get involved , click on the link , have a read - it will just take a minute of your time EACH DAY . You MAY just make a difference to someone !

I posted in there yesterday when I was at a low point as I read the title of the thread as being a "support" for Aspergers or BiPolar sufferers .....guess what ?

Nobody came to answer the door when I knocked ! !

Well nobody replied until a kindly soul came along and offered a few kind words .

I was feeling even more disappointed until then as I thought to myself .....Jesus even the other Aspies don't even care ! !

So follow the link , have a read , click on the button at the bottom of the thread to FOLLOW the thread for replies and check in here EVERYDAY ,,

Thank you !

Removed the duplicates of this same thread

Its an interesting idea and I hope that it does take off but members that check each section get upset at people that repost their threads and we have plenty of those so removing two is actually my attempt to help you making sure this takes off

Thanks .

Is there any chance of making the thread in question a sticky and placing it a suitable prominent place / position ??

Maybe at the top of every section !?

This could be a life saving idea , after all and should be taken seriously , I feel .

Its possible to make this a sticky.
Not at the top of every section(GAD is crowded and Im not allowed to add a new one), but if several people request this to be done it will be done in as many sections as we can do it.

Well, you haven't replied to any of my posts in there and I think mental insanity is a bit worse than feeling depressed.

To be honest your post didn't seem terribly emotive to me which is why I overlooked it.

You can't just say we don't care because how are you to know? We're all dealing with some very extreme problems of our own and sometimes we just haven't the energy left to cheer someone up. I mean, we're also autistic and you expect us to respond like any NT would expect it, and if we didn't then they would assume we didn't care too, just like you did.

Didn't I tell you I got into flame wars? I'm not flaming. I just feel argumentative. I'll stop. I'm exhausted anyway.

Think its a bad idea.

Not the support part, but that there already is a place for that and you are posting in it right now. Most people come to know this is a place to come and express their problems and issues safely. Those who are of the temperment to try and help also look here regularly, so a post usually has the best chance of getting the most positively intended replies here.

In other subforums its going to be hit or miss and negative replies are not prohibited.

So all I can see this doing is confusing people, spreading them out and thinning out replies further.

Not a fan of stickys either. Don't think there should be one or two at most in any subforum, and should be almost always limited to moderator guidelines specific to the subforum. Stickys maybe sounded like a good idea at the time but often just stagnate and clutter the place up. The Haven has got to be the worst in this respect, and you must already scroll half way down the page to gety to any new threads.
