I moved away from my hometown a few months ago, and the difference has been amazing. Even though I am no longer accepted as part of the Brisbane Lions community due to my views on leaving players, Brisbane is still home.
That being said, a friend from my hometown has a ball going on and I volunteered to help. So I came back to my hometown for the weekend. UGH. Driving back through the "city" that's outside of my hometown, I was suddenly hit with the first stages of a panic attack. No one is happy to see me now that I'm home (Mum and Dad don't come back until Sunday) and I feel like I'm no longer a part of my family.
Sunday evening when I drive home can not come soon enough. To add to my anxiety, I'm worried about my cats. I know they have enough food and water to last them, but I still worry about them. What if something happens while I'm gone? If it weren't for the fact I promised my Mum I'd stay until Sunday after dinner I'd be outta here ASAP. I'm so upset right now. I want to go home.
