Before we begin, let me point out that this is NOT an attention-seeking thread. It's a thread about how I can help people, and where people can ask me anything for my advice. With that said......

Ever since high school, I've wanted to help out people emotionally or otherwise. It's been working well, and I see myself as someone who will help a great friend in a time of need. I really DO help people the best that I can, because I aim to be a great friend to ANYONE.

With that said, if you have anything life-related to ask me, I will answer your questions here. :)

Have you ever thought about volunteering at one of those suicide hotline places? I'm sure there are several of them in your area, and if you call one to ask about volunteering they can give you the contact information. They also train you in what to say and not say. That could actually help out with several of the problems you are having, in that you will be there with other people, and not always the same people, who volunteer and it's a chance to meet girls and also you will meet other folks there who have jobs and just volunteer there part time so you can do some networking about looking for a job. You would also get to help folks out.

You sound like a nice person. Yes, volunteering at this sorts of places would be good for all concerned.

Just curious: What makes you root for Canadian teams? I'm a real fan of Canada, actually---but I don't root for the Montreal Canadiaes instead of the New York Rangers. LOL

I've been to Canada a number of teams: Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, various smaller places. Always enjoyed the ambiance.

@OOM: That's a great idea! I think I may go forward with it.

Didn't you used to be miserable? How did you get unmiserable? I want to know so I can try it myself.

It really comes and goes, to be honest. I try my best to stay positive each and every day, but sometimes things get overwhelming, but even at that, in the end, I find myself still standing.

I get the same problem. My mood seems to change by the hour. Sometimes I feel fine and I think, how can I feel like that all the time?

I do get miserable, but you know what? Those periods always pass.

Yeah, then they come back. Maybe I'm only miserable half the time but I still think half my life is a terrible thing to waste.

It's not just my mood that's effected but my energy level. If I'm ever going to get anything useful done I'll have to have energy at predictable times.

You know, when I think about it, even in my worst of days, I want to do my best to help people....... I get this feeling that WP is a better place with my presence.

That's a tough Q. I guess being in the sun for a while can help, but try to keep it in moderation, though.

No matter. I still get a few sunny days in winter but I'm not in the tropical north. I'm far enough south that it gets moderately cold.
