Just my opinion, but I do not believe most on the spectrum have that unusual great talent you speak of. They are just ordinary people with greater or lesser autistic atributes or tendencies. I am not sure having a amazing skill is something to be desired either, as it appears to often come at the expense of being very autistic. Its moot point I know as no one chooses the level of autisim they have, but I do not think it a bad thing to be at the extremes. I think it must be much harder for those with severe autism.

Don't fret! I was talented at soccer but I'm too old to play now, so that's a pretty lame talent to have since it can't be a career. So now I'm just sitting around, jumping from interest to interest and nothing is sticking. Maybe you and I will find something eventually!

Do have a passion for anything in particular? I think in a lot of cases, we obsess over our special interests, and become experts in that area because we focus on it 24/7.

So it could be your special 'talent' is for something that isn't generally recognized by society. For example, I'm really good at Star Wars trivia, but... Well, nobody cares! :P
