My friend and team mate at work got fired today.

Not because he was a bad person, just because he wasn't hitting his targets.

He was such a nice person too. It has left a dark cloud over my head all day.

I hope he gets an even better job in the future, he deserves it.

I couldn't even say goodbye to him because I was so sad, I just sunk down in my seat, hid behind my computer and put my hood up.

I just feel so sad

I had a great relationship with a work colleague once but she ended up being fired because the boss didn;t like her.
I got so p*ssed off with the boss that he ended up firing me 6 months later.

I hope you can work through the turmoil and keep in touch with your mate!

They probably did him a favor. Now he's free to find a job where he doesn't have to have the pressure of a quota hanging over his head all the time.

It would be a nice gesture to call him and make sure he's okay, though, if you have his number. The first 24 hours after a sacking can be pretty demoralizing.

Yes, babybird, I'm sorry you're sad. But please call your friend. Don't be afraid of not knowing what to say.

You have never been anything but nice to me. I want to console you if I can.

I also want to tell you to look out for yourself there at work. Don't mourn him THERE, mourn his job at home. Hell, call him. He may have found a better place to hire both you.

Today is another day, and probably another drama.

I probably will see him again at some point, he definitely will get another job.

Oh, by the way, he wasn't the person who I was talking about in my previous thread who was getting bullied.

That person is doing well now, he positions himself next to me everyday, and torments me
