Feeling ignored

I'm on a 2 week break from college right now, and since no one ever goes out and hangs around with each other then, I thought the only place I could hear from them was on the internet. But I haven't heard from them, at least not replying to my posts. I have to send them messages instead, and they dont' always reply. My crush hasn't even SEEN what I've sent him, and I'm feeling upset and ignored because I only want to hear from my friends, but only a few of them ARE noticing, and that's only if I talk to them privately. I ca't wait till we're back at college, what can I do in the meantime to get them to talk to me without seeming annoying or being too shy?

In my experience, one of the best ways I can push people away is to try to manipulate them into talking with me.

You have already taken the initiative and tried to get the conversations going. Besides that I do not think there is anything more you can do. Trying repeatedly will probably just make you seem annoying like you mentioned.

Its only two weeks, so just give it all a break and you will be back in school before you know it.

But it's really upsetting me. Should I have a break from the site for a few days and see what happens? There is one person from the youth club I go to who talks to me lots on there, and he might miss me.

Mmmm... I guess then do go on the site and talk with anyone who wants to talk, just refrain from contacting that one person who isn't replying. Give just that a piece a break.
