Being awake causes me pain.

Emotional pain?

Do you have someone near by who can help you with this? You sound very depressed.

Just want to let you know someone out here cares.

A lot of the time, its just a kind of dull sensation all over for me. Not much I can do about it. Kind of like a peripheral nervous system headache.

Oh, that does sound painful.

Have you talked to a doctor about it? There are meds for nerve pain. I was on Gabapentin when I was having sciatica issues (eventually had back surgery for that.)

I have also found deeply listening to relaxing music to be helpful. And prayer. But these two, it depends on how severe the pain is. When my pain was excruciating, my brain couldn't stop whirring enough to listen or pray.

sleep freedom , death is ultimate sleep. I don't want to die, but maybe being in a sleep chamber for 40 years might not be bad.

unless you mean physical pain. in that case see a doctor.

Sorta, but it's complicated. I've recently been diagnosed with anemia, which could be making things worse.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Here, at night, however, I don't seem to have it. It's like a daytime thing.

It was just utter unpleasantness.

When I was at a very bad place during depression, being awake during the daytime was the worst. The night seemed better, softer and friendlier.
There is a book called " The Noonday Demon," by Andrew Solomon, the name sums it up.

There must be medication that can help you. What kind of pain does it cause? Is there any dyspnea? I had that once and it was horrible. I looked it up and was horrified to find some people have to live with that regularly. I know medications which remedy it though, opioids should wipe it out completely, but the anemia has to be sorted out, medications are only a temporary bandaid. Can you elaborate more on what exactly it is your suffering with? People can only help if they know what the issue is.

I'm waiting to hear back the test results from my doctor. She is taking longer than I expected.
