I have him working finding developemental disablity housing to get me away from the mental health system and my parents.
My parents are nice to me now but any mention of me not taking the drugs when i am finally home causes to become very nasty and make threats like i might come home. i think our relationship has become codependant. even though i hate what they did to me i have this compusiive need to be around them. that also means they get off on making me sick wether or not they mean in general i think are only nice to me if play the role of the compliant pscyh patient. they also tried to isolate me from anyone who could help. my relatives are now alll on thier sides. any thoughts

I understand what it is like to have parents that think they are the only help, even though all of their help is actually hurting you. Can't say I really have any advice other than that it is very important that you get on your own. If your case managers decision is soon, all I can say is be very compliant as long as you can. Are you currently in a hospital?

Are you still taking the medications though?

Medications can be good for some, but if you don't think they are good, by all means don't take them. I myself hate taking medication, and for all the "wisdom" the doctors had in saying I needed it, I know better than they do, and I am glad I am not taking stuff that messes up my mind.

My social worker was the best thing that ever happened to me. It was the beginning of finding the way out. Do you like your case worker?

Good luck! Getting into DDS and getting into housing was my saving blessing. Still a struggle but has made things easier.

yes, he has reall instinct for what i need and what the situation is, hes not about pushing med, just whatever is best for me.

Im also getting a dd helper. when i came home last time i thought the local dds housing only had a 1-2 year waiting period. turns out it has a 10 year wait. it would have been great it literally 15 minutes from my house(?). put some distance between us yet have access should i need them for something
