Okay my rage just broke so it's rant time.

I love how whenever a news story on autism abuse breaks our society tries to paint it like we're the bad guys and that it's okay and acceptable to beat us, humiliate us, lock us up, and make us feel like absolute GARBAGE. I went through everything but the beating part back in middle school and the main person who did it to me never saw anything but a slap on the wrist. When he actually got in trouble though his grandparents were there to save his stupid little face by pulling him out. Worse I can't confront him over it because after he left he got cancer so any attempt to confront him would make me the bad guy because most people treat folks with cancer as saints. Not criticizing people with cancer by the way. The best story I can think of in terms of justifying autism abuse is this one, Mom pleads guilty to abusing autistic daughter, where the prosecutor and judge try to paint the woman as a victim when she wanted to kill herself and her child, and then theres this gem of an article which thankfully isn't bias against us,5 Shocking Realities of Working With Mentally Disturbed Children, still it highlights a problem with the administrators of these facilities meant to "help" us, namely they don't care about us, not the staff but the bureaucrats in charge. In fact whenever a government needs to dial down the budget it's always US who suffer, the best example is Regan's budget cuts in the 1980s when tons of perfectly fine asylums were shut down and the residents were thrown to the streets. Why should we suffer? Because of something we didn't want?! Because of something that we were born with and can't control!? No but the stoner living off government funds will be just fine. HOW IS THAT FAIR?! Ya sure we both waste resources but the difference is that we can't control how we are. We just are this way but I guess that's all people need to hate us.

From where does society get its ideas? Public relations and media has much more influence with societal opinion than anything else. To quote the film JFK, "follow the money."

We are dangerous animals, and we need to be rounded up so as to protect polite society.
