I have 2, but they are online friends (I AM going to meet them in person really soon though ^^). I used to have a psychologist but he couldn't really help me though.. sigh. I don't talk to my parents too much either, I don't really like them ..

The greatest dissapointment I had when being diagnosed AS - HF Autism was that there was nothing - no support group, no welcoming folks. . .just the diagnosis and not even a cup of coffee.
When I got sober ( 23 years ago) there was a "brass band" of congratulations and companionship and meetings to go to and sponsors to talk with.
But I suppose that is because there is no 'recovery' for AS or Autism.

Do you think you will have the same relation to your online friends after you have met them in RL? I definitely talk differently from how I write, so I would be afraid to disappoint them, after all. Or I might feel that they might disappoint me by how they really are.

Zero.

I'm sure there are people that would volunteer their time to let me talk with them, but I don't feel comfortable talking with anyone about 100% of the stuff I have on my mind. Don't really know why.

I've got a couple people I talk to in limited detail about some things, but not really anyone I talk to about everything.

Psychologists / psychiatrists, tried that, they wanted to "fix" things in ways I wasn't all that big on, and that I didn't have (didn't feel like I had) any input on. I wanted input, not a "solution" that might or might not work.

Friends, very few I fully trust. Too many have backstabbed me at the worst, acted with complete disregard for my feelings at best. More than that, some flat out don't understand where I'm coming from, act like I'm being silly and / or stupid. The one, maybe two, that I do trust to any degree, they're great...for moral support.

People online, well, due to friends (or is "friends" a better way to put it) I have trust issues. (One of the reasons that none of you will get to see pictures of me. I know, some people are probably sad. :P) Under certain conditions I have an easier time, assuming I can keep some aspect of me "concealed," helps with that whole feeling of just being way too out in the open. Again, goes back to the "friends" issue. There was one, but I'm beginning to fear that something happened to them, as I haven't heard from them in a couple weeks.

All accounts start off as anonymous. The more info you give, the more the identity is defined. Simply segmenting it is, well, nothing more than that. Dividing the whole. One linked detail, and there's no point in having two identities. That, and some people become suspicious / offended / irritated by that kind of thing.

Simply posting one huge issue and vanishing, even if you're still around on another nick, will leave some people feeling potentially used.

I talk to a couple of people on msn and post on several forums. Beyond the net, I have no one. I rarely speak to my parents, as neither wish to hear of any issues I have and do not believe in AS etc. I know no one in the city I live in so I drift around on the outside of the microcosmic bubble as usual.

ugh, I'm on some sort of bender for this tonight, but oh well.

Religion can be a horrible thing, or it can be a wonderful thing for the individual, and not an issue to those they know. Zealots are bad though.

hah, don't get me wrong, I'm not entirely comfortable with it. That's why I don't really follow one. It doesn't have to make someone scary though. Having a belief is fine, forcing it upon others isn't.

I believe in ghosts, but I don't force people to believe in them as well.

Relieved to hear that you are not about to declare a crusade or inquisition against the unbelievers in spectres, wraiths, etc. amongst us
