1. sign off of chat
2. know it is NOT your fault
3. tell someone you trust who loves you and talk it out

are you an adult, ted?

you wouldn't go wrong possibly blocking the number of the guy who texted you - so he does not harass you further.

The second someone on the Internet starts to make you feel uncomfortable, shut the computer off and go do something else. You don't have to stay and entertain them.

If you are under 18, don't ever take nude pictures of yourself or allow others to do so.

Yeah, talk to someone who you know won't judge you wrong or blame you.

I also support blocking him out of your life further.

In the future its best to not give out nudes to anyone. I know people who don't even send nudes to their SOs, so there is nothing wrong with saying 'no' to those requests from now on. If they don't understand that, all the more reason to block them from your life. If you are under 18, you can press child-porn charges to whoever did this, which would be recommended, as they would then likely be a sexual predator.

Sadly you will need to remember this, and look out for people displaying the same behaviour in the future. Now you know what to look out for, so hopefully this won't come back and bite you (it likely won't, but get any help or protection offered just in case). People you meet online, especially those in these kinds of chats can be very subtle in their manipulation, so its understandable that you did not know what was going on until too late. I would recommend staying out of such chat rooms for as long as you feel is needed, and it would be totally understandable if you NEVER return to one.

If under 18, that is extraordinarily bad advice without at least having a talk with a lawyer first. A minor taking a nude or suggestive picture of any minor including themselves could be charged with the production of child porn and anyone distributing a nude or suggestive picture of any minor could be charged with the distribution of child porn as well.

Do not believe even for a second that just because someone is a minor, they will not prosecute that minor for such charges. It is terrible that this can result in the victim being held criminally liable, but it can certainly happen.

If you don't believe me, use Google to search for such events.

As a friend here:

- Never send nudes again.

- Block that person

- You have learned what not to do next time

- You have became self aware of how you feel and what you can do. Do not let people take advantage of you. It is amazing how manipulative our peers can be. We have no idea whats coming next, but we can at least get an idea of what is behind closed doors.

Unfortunately this is true, so it's certainly very important to talk to a lawyer before trying to deal with the legal system.

Looks like most everything has been covered, except if you haven't already perhaps block them on that chat room, or if you cannot block people on it it's probably best to avoid it so they cannot harass you on there.

My gut feeling is that being manipulated into taking the pictures and sending them to the perp instead of taking them and distributing them voluntarily would make it unlikely that there would be any prosecution. Logically speaking, going after the perp is the imporant thing.

Of course, if 18 or over, that is not even an issue.

If at home and if the computer is in a bedroom, always keeping the door open when on the computer might make it somewhat easier to resist such advances because it would be possible that another family member could happen to look through the door when walking by.

Next time when a guy starts speaking about sexual stuffs just say you are not interested in a topic like this. And if he insists - close the chatroom and block him. A LOT of guys join chatroom just because they are horny and look for masturbate material. No point talking with them. They are not interested in you, they just want pleasure for themselves.

Also - never share a naked photo again, especially not to a stranger. Its something that should never be shared, sometimes even a boyfriend might use a girlfriends photo in a bad way. Actually it is even not wise to take one - files even when deleted leave a track in camera memory and can be restored if one knows how to do it. So if your camera breaks or you want to sell it the person repairing/the new owner might get access to your deleted naked photo.

Usually it is not a big deal - they will only laugh a bit, masturbate or show it to a few friends for fun - but noone knows what actually might happen to the photo. They might put it somewhere in the Internet and your friends might see it. If something like this happens you can tell the police and they can track the guy and if they find him he gets punished for sharing someone else photo without asking as well as sharing pornography. At least it would be the case if you were adult. Since you are a kid you could probably tell the police even now if you feel the guy was sexually harassing you while aware that you are a kid.

But I would personally let it go as long as the guy doesn't do anything more to you(harass you, shares your photo somewhere). Starting a case would be embarrassing. Not worth it. Especially since there might be some problems for you for sharing the photo as others said. I doubt police would punish you for sharing your photo out of innocence but who knows? It all depends of lawyers.
