Sometime my reflexions and tastes just fit nowhere... Like it seem I'm the only one aware how the many worlds interpretation of quantum mechanic is disastrous from a existential point of view. Because if it's true then there is no way to give a sense to life. There is no decision, as you do everything at the same time. There is no point to doing anything, because in counless worlds you're doing it anyway. There is no consequence, as in countless worlds you didn't do it. There is no reason to wanting to make things better, as they do get better and don't get better either way in counless number of worlds. How many apocalypse do our double have seen?... And so on.
I guess I don't explain it very well... but this is the way I see things. Yet, I only managed to see one mention of this existensial nightmare on internet, ONE... How come peoples many time smarter than me and knowing about physic don't think about that? How come those believing it are not affected by it? Do they know something that I don't? I do choose to not believe it (There is other interpretation), but some choose to believe it... I just don't get it... Why no one talk about that?
My tastes are also weird... For example I like some anime that nearly no one have heard about, I shared some of them on WP, but no one care about them.
There is also that I don't get what is so extraordinary about The Lego movie and Guardians of the Galaxy. I don't consider them bad movies, but I just don't get why they are received like the best thing since sliced bread. I just don't...
Also I have a very limited knowledge of music genre and groups; somehow everyone know about them and I don't.
Those king of things make me feel very isolated. ![]()
If you were born on Earth then you are not an alien. There are over 7 billion humans on Earth. The Homo genus has been evolving for about 2.5 million years, and our current modern form is about 140,000 years (numbers are not exact, but it is what I learned in my anthropology courses). It is normal to have fringe dwellers in every population. This is fact. The transition from Homo habilis to modern humans had fringe dwellers as each transition happened. Just because I am one of the fringe dwellers, and maybe you are also, does not make me or you less human (Homo sapiens). I believe we are are transitional people. I include extreme introverts in our group. There is a dividing and widening gap between extroverts and introverts now more than ever. It will continue and will end up splitting into different groups once we stop mating with each other. The introvert group will be smaller, but will take over the world.
I think different than the majority of the population I currently live. Transitions happen slowly with a small percent. If the major population would stop trying to make it very difficult for me and those like me to live in peace, stop harassing me just because I do not want to socialize with them, I could be so much more productive as a more content person. I am content with working, researching, constructing.... It is in their better interest to allow me to do the things I am good at rather than harassing me, breaking my things, knocking me around, making me hate them. I am in the process to export my talents to another country due to poor treatment and declining ability to concentrate and decline in the quality of my work.
They are going to miss out on my abilities. It is going to haunt them later; I am sure of this. I could have been a great ally, but they have made me an enemy. Seek out a place where you fit better as I am doing. Do not waste your life complaining about people you will never be able to get along with effectively. It is hard to do, but so is staying where you are and being miserable the rest of your life. Also, stop thinking about parallel worlds and your alternate selves. This is not productive. Your consciousness does not live in all those other places, it lives in your body in the present tense Earth that you live on now. It is a waste of time to think about such things. Live your life in the present where you can act, learn, and evolve. Those other places, if they exist, will take care of themselves without your focus on them.

Actually, with regards to the existential nightmare, I followed a similar train of thought a while back. You can also connect it the the question of whether "free-will" exists or not. The issue is, that a healthy human psyche (and most unhealthy ones) can not hold on the notion that our actions are meaningless. We can grasp it with conscious thought for a brief period of time, but we can not hold on to it throughout our daily lives. Even if it's true, our psyches will not allow us to fully believe it and act in accordance. Otherwise, there's nothing to hold us back from suicide.
Personal taste is...well, personal. Frankly, a considerable amount of culture and counter-culture fall victim to the mindlessness of the masses. The increased tendency toward logic which comes with being on the spectrum makes us less likely to hop on the bandwagon. Personally, I feel that the movies you mentioned have some good points and some weak points. But compared to the industry standard, they were both "breath of fresh air" which probably explains the enthusiasm. Your tastes may not match what is popular, but that doesn't mean you're wrong. It simply means that you have a different perspective, a factor which can potentially become very useful.

@IgA You don't really understand the many worlds interpretaion. In this interpretation the Universe constantly divide itself in all the existing possibilities; which mean there in countless number of yourself appearing at each instant. Each of your version having his own memory they each have the illusion of one stream of consciouness, but in true they are constantly divided in more and more possibilites making each of their acts meaningless. (As everything happen anyway.)
Also I don't care if I'm among the "next step of evolution" or something (I don't believe in that anyway.), what I want is to stop to be alone. My familly is nice and supporting to me, but even among them I can't help but notice how I'm different and that I can't relate much.
And now I notice a similar problem on WP. I can't built myself a life around my talent either, as I never developped any talent or skills.
You should do what I do; I like to study music across so many different continents. The reason I started this hobby was because I wanted to appreciate music outwith the UK that is popular in its own country but virtually unknown or not that famous outside of wherever it is from.
One year, I was really into groups from around Merseyside. This was my main musical interest from 2007 to around 2010. Then I started with Australia, thanks to nzoz1980 and his other channels on YouTube. He sadly erased a lot of his videos without explaining why. He certainly had quite a number of rare Rage clips. Then I started with New Zealand in 2013 and in recent years, I got interested in listening to Canadian bands. I'd thought about moving onward to Germany, Denmark and Italy, but I prefer English speaking songs.

You should not tell anyone they do not understand a non-proven hypothesis (based on one post that only communicated a belief that focusing on it is a waste of time), and then say you do not believe in evolution, a well-proven theory. I happen to have a minor in physics, 2 degrees in the sciences, and have studied anthropology, geology, and cellular metabolism. However, I forgive your ignorance. I see now that you are seeking commaroderie, of which I cannot provide. I do understand your search. I seek a place where people focus more on task oriented activities and being constructive, rather than on unproductive activities. I have to expatriate myself to find what I am searching for, because I already know there is not a place in the U.S. I fit. Perhaps you need to widen your search also.

I guess I was not clear enough when I said I did not believe in "the next step of evolution". What I mean is not that I don't believe in evolution or that humanity will/may evolve, what I mean is that I don't believe that autism, introversion or whatever is some kind of "next step of evolution" and that we will conquer the world. It's bad science and sound more like a soft science-fiction story like "X-men" that anything else. There is also a lot of WP members that are knowledgeable about science that share my opinion.
