I need a holiday. I'm sick of sitting on the computer all the time and playing video games at home. But that's the problem... I can't go on a holiday because mum can't afford it.

Do you look at Flickr often? Just type in a country and away you go.

No, I was being serious. You can look at loads of pictures of places even if you can't go yourself.

You should have every right to go out. As I've said before, it sounds as though it's your parents with the problem. I don't know you though.

Are you right out in the sticks? Where's the library? You said you'd like to go there. Also, you don't need to be going anywhere. Sometimes just a walk is nice - stopping inside all the time would drive me mad!

Where is it? Can you walk there? Would you manage yourself OK (without suffering or having meltdowns)? If you can go, just go. Tell her that you aren't her prisoner and you're going out for a while. Does she lock you in or something?

Ask her why not! If she says 'because' or 'because you're not allowed', say that it's a terrible excuse and that it's absolutely stupid!!

Why can't you go out by yourself? Is it because she won't let you or is it because you can't manage on your own?

I'm pretty sure you mum is aware you don't have any friends in your vicinity, and also that you're probably not willing to go out with anyone else, so saying you're not allowed outside alone is really stupid.

It's not like there's a serial killer who kills FF fans in the Murray Bridge area!!
