Sometimes I think I should feel things when I don't.
Sometimes I wish I didn't feel things I did.
And other times I feel things and I don't know what they are.
All this just contributes to my endless confusion.
What's wrong with me? :(

It is a genetic condition; fatal in 100% of cases....

...human life.

EDIT: don't want that to sound sarcastic, that is just how I feel life is to me.

I'd say something, but I'm pretty confused myself.

Don't have unreasonable or unrealistic expectations of yourself - and especially don't measure yourself against 'normal' people, because you'll never be happy or satisfied. Just be yourself - nothing is wrong with who you are, or anyone else for that matter so long as they are true to themselves :D

Sopho_soph,

You have the making of being a writer.

In print the uncommon point of view sells.

I'm sure most of us can relate. Sometimes my emotions are obvious to me - if I'm crying or smiling it's easy to identify what I'm feeling. A lot of the time, I sense an emotional state on a physical level, but don't know what it is or why I'm having it. These generally fall under the blanket of "anxiety," as I'm usually kind of agitated and shaky, or otherwise ill at ease. These feelings can come and go at the strangest of times, so it's hard to appreciate what they mean.

It's also easy for other people to manipulate me, and make me question my emotions. I can't count the number of times I've felt strongly about something, and had a girlfriend/wife convince me I was wrong.

Unfortunately, interpersonal relations rely on timely displays of emotion, so if I don't feel anything until 7 hours later, it doesn't help, and no one cares that you eventually felt the right emotion. It also makes people think you're emotionless, and just pretending when you are emotional.

At the end of the day, I feel like I'm a good person, and that's all I base my self-worth on.

If you're not confused then you're not paying attention. This goes for NTs too. If you're confused it means that you're smart enough to realize how damn confusing life is.

What others have said: The only people whom aren't confused are dead.

Also, questioning yourself (why, what, when, existentialism; these are all closely related to wish, should, could and would) in the way which you are doing, and even if you receive answers you don’t like; this can be quite enlightening and will allow you to better understand yourself [and others].

Be happy that you're confused; you're alive. :)

I hate that feeling of emotional blankness, where I just can't identify what I am feeling at all. That in turn makes it hard to make some decisions in life as well.

Even worse, I hate it when I have what I call a "misfire" and I react to something angrily, when in fact it has deeply affected me emotionally....then I can come off as insensitive.
