I am unsure, and I was previously unmotivated. I've realised that I'm too much of an escapist, detached from reality, I can't be sure of what is, and what isn't.

My opinions and values remain roughly the same, but they change depending on what outlook I'm taking(which varies greatly with what I'm thinking about)
I have the potential to change, and I must. I'm taking up new policies, which will NOT change unless I carefully consider them. I need to have a rigid pattern of thought, whilst catering for my intelligence and insecurities. I suppress myself, but now I must be honest and clear, and with purpose. I guess that knowing so much, and having chameleon thought patterns, depending on various factors, makes me confused, forgetful, and off-track. I need to break the cycle, and stop wandering. I know I have the capability to change, and define myself, and know where to stop thinking. When I think, I think outside the box, and think VERY intensely, sometimes about even the slightest thing. It can be very hampering and distracting to my efforts. #

I need to get a grip, and set some rules for myself. How I think, how I act, and my surroundings are inseparable. I need to order my life, and know where to draw the line. My mind is the only thing that can make a difference. I've already started by gradually introducing discipline, sorting out several issues, and starting to think clearly. I need to be more outgoing and less fearful of social situations(as much as an aspie can), to what extent is sane. I go on games and the computer more than I should, I like having fun(and escapism), but I must set aside time to do other things, and get everything into a clear routine. The horrible mess my house is in is offputting, but that can be sorted.

I apologise for ranting on.

Good luck. I have had some issues is this area myself. Don't take it too fast, and try to give yourself goals to perform as avoid letting your mind drift.

ADDENDUM: These are tips based on my own experience. Performance may vary depending on user. :)

It sounds like you know what you want, and that you have a sound and strong mind that can enable you to realize what you want...I'm sure you will be able to do it...:)

I think routines keep us sane. I also fall short on the self-discipline.
