I turn 30 on March 29th. 30 is a big milestone and I haven't done much in life. Was on disability and that was taken away a few years ago now I'm trying to get back on it dealing with a lawyer.

Age 18-30 I didn't try getting help for a job like I could have just blowing money on video games left & right. :-(

I feel I'm nowhere I feel I should/want to be in life right now. "should" as in societal norms how long in life are you going to put the problem off on life being different "for you" "That you shouldn't strive to be what society is." etc. I'm not sure I believe in that angle. say that now at 30 then 35 then 40 when will one be able to get a job and DO SOMETHING WITH THERE LIFE! :-(

Sure when I get back on disability I don't want to blow money left/right anymore and not having an income is sort of eye opening right now going on 30. Falling back on family buying you stuff Birthday/Christmas is ok I guess.

Just I even question where I "Want" to be now going on 30 except what is socially acceptable. love relationships, friends, career NOT No job never had a job but a career possible career change!

No friends never had a boyfriends kissed or dated. My teen sisters are gushing OMG! boyfriends OMG! invite friends over yet I have 2 with me going on 30 and they are in different states and flying around the country to visit costs ALOT. (And neither are in a good financial place right now either! themselves!)

Going on 30 I sort of feel stuck. :-(

Does it get better?

When did it get better for you?

I feel stuck. :-(

Yes.
The it that It gets better is how we respond or don't respond.

I've learned not to judge my insides against others outsides.
The best actors are far from the stage. My life started changing at 33.

Thank You. I'm taking baby steps in the right directions I think. When I get an income back in disability or whatever I don't want to blow it on games and have decided against that and narrowed it down to series I really like vs. buying every highly rated game out at the moment or wait on good sales.

I'm also reading more such as success books and fiction that keeps me engaged more vs. gaming all the time. Also trying to walk everyday and trying to stay healthy but again baby steps. So far.

I'm 3 and a bit years away from 30 myself. I'm hoping they will find a way to transfer human conciousness into computers before I die. 80-100 years is not enough time. I expect the rich will be able to have their conciousness downloaded into artificial bodies on top of this, I'm not so bothered, just being saved from oblivion would be enough for me.

The best part of turning 30 years of age is that, once you are there, you will probably look back on your 20s in ways which recognize some of the remarkable things you did then. Hindsight is 20/20.

Well 24-29 was huge I finished my Bachelors in Criminal Justice but the disability angle too much anxiety doing applications etc. for finding a job and again should have tried the find a job angle between 18-30 when I was actually ON disability and could have gotten the help I needed. :-( (Lost it in 2012 fought until 2015 now fighting AGAIN another 2 yrs.) :-(

So the degree was for what I'm still not 100% sure. :-(

Pretty much how I felt @30. It wasn't until I was 39 that my life even started coming alive & not until maybe a year ago that I felt I had actually started living, and living in the moment. Par for the course for some of us, from what I've heard.

I think you said ur b-day is tomorrow. If so happy birthday. I think I understand. I've never been able to hold a job, I'm like a charity case within my family unable to live on my own, I've given up for now on dating and finding friends. But...f**k it 30s not as old as it might sound to us right now. I'm trying to be ok with living by my own standards not others and I think it's when we do that that our lives start turning around. Kind of like accepting and surrendering to who we are rather than trying to change in order to feel worthy of our own acceptance. And in more ways than not it can only get better right.

Happy birthday.

I started to come of age at 33. I always thought it was interesting that Christ was crucified at that same age.
30 years later I'm looking to retire in 3 years 9 months or less.
