Not sure if this is the best place to put this, but since I can't find any forums dedicated to cooking, here I am!

I don't like cooking, but I also don't like living off of microwave meals every day. Does anybody know any good recipes that are tasty, cheap, and easy to make? And if they're relatively healthy, that's great too. I've fallen in love with my slow cooker lately, since I can just throw stuff in there before work and it'll be ready when I come home, haha.

Pasta with sauce and frozen/fresh vegetables of your choice.

Can't go wrong with that!

Yes, pasta is easy. I fry a bit of bacon or chorizo to add taste and protein.

I also buy frozen, ready chopped onion, peppers and garlic to save me preparing vegetables. I find meal prep so boring.

Another thing you can do is to buy some fish or whatever, cook that in the oven, then just microwave some frozen rice and vegetable bags and then put them together.

I often make burritos with a little chicken, rice, beans, and onions. Nothing special. You can make "breakfast burritos" this way with eggs, peppers, and onions. Or oatmeal and bananas or strawberries.

I know someone who eats tomato rice. Just a tomato cooked with a rice in the rice cooker: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_9QImcJmSg

Anyone know a good website dedicated to cooking with just a microwave or tiny convection oven? That is kind of all I have to work with lol

If you're interested in veggies I tried two new recipes lately for lazy days:

Baked or pan-fried tortillas topped with tomatoes, spinach, cheese, and salsa verde if wanted.

Grilled cheese plus spinach and red onion. Could probably be made with thin sliced ham or turkey lunchmeat too.

get a rice cooker. rice is cheap, not too unhealthy, and can be cooked in large amounts at a time with minimal effort and stored frozen in meal-packs. for added awesome, add frozen veggies to the pasta while it cooks, and you'll have a healthier base.

Don't buy pre-prepped ingredients (they're significantly marked up compared to the unprepped product). buy a kitchen assistant and let it do the messy prepping for you.

now, to recipes. My go-to recipes are as follows.

(I usually count one fillet plus some pasta as one portion, so this is about 4 portions)

4 pack of salmon-filets
one jar of green pesto
about 500 g of pasta.

grease a metal or ceramic container and add the filets.
Cook in oven at 225 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.
in the meantime, boil the pasta. when pasta is done, ditch the water and add in the pesto.
stir until mixed.
Serve pasta with salmon.
Done!

recipe number the second:

bacon, mincemeat, sausage or really any kind of meat-bits
soy sauce
full fat cream
chilli sauce
onion and mushroom if you feel like it.

fry meat in skillet until fried
add onion and shrooms if desired
fry until fried
add cream
add soy sauce to taste
add chilli sauce to taste
serve with pasta
Done!
