From sixth grade onward, I wanted to be popular. I wanted to awesome at sports, I wanted to perform at festivals, I wanted lots of friends to hang out with, etc.
However, basically, I was an uncool dork, but kept begging and pleading the other kids to think I was cool, and they gave in like 50% of the time, even though I did not go to the mall with friends at all until twelfth grade, I did lots of boring things with my family, I played video games with my sister and had to endure her endless trying to help me even though I wanted to progress in the games on my own, and I always wound up in the audience at parades, festivals, etc., until twelfth grade, when an aspie friend of mine let me ride in his firetruck with him in a Santa Parade two towns away from me.
Now for my future outlook. I want to go into accounting or computers, and whenever I go to my Mom for advice, she keeps suggesting low-level administrative jobs such as Bookkeeper, Computer Operator, Data Entry. The problem with this, however, is that ever since I have joined this forum, I read about how most aspies are stuck in entry-level jobs, and stuck with entry-level pay. However, unlike most of you, (and I'm not trying to bash or offend anyone here, that is not the purpose of this post) if I do get stuck at entry-level, I will not allow it. I tend to get impatient whenever something doesn't go my way (and in Middle School, I used to turn into a screaming banshee whenever one little thing seemed off to me).
The purpose of this post was to unload all the stuff that was on my mind. No whiny tone was intended. In fact, if any of you saw me talking about all this stuff in real life, you would see me being as calm and adult as possible.
