Being shouted at when I've done nothing wrong.

Today we're having a party at my house. When my brother and father were moving a sofa and I stood to the side, they said I was in their way, and in a frustrated and angry manner. I clearly said that I did nothing wrong and that I was not in the way, and said it several times. Then everone else just angrily told me to 'shut up!' They were moving a sofa, but that's not an excuse to be angry at an autistic person when they've done nothing wrong. Do any of you get things like this?

Also, I had a collection of bank receipts that I wanted to burn or dissolve in water so that nobody could piece them together and get my card details, and I asked my parents about this. My mum said "No-one's going to look at your receipts" - but if frauds piece together expired credit cards, then why not receipts? I got into a slight dispute over this and I will not accept the fact that my logical attitude is dismissed. Just because it's not what most people would do...

It's as if it is okay to get angry at me and get away with it, but doesn't the Bible say "Do not even become angry with your brother" (I'm not particularly religious but I think that the Bible is an excellent source of morals and rules).

Things like this only make me feel that I am abused and not appreciated in the family. Although this was just a burst of anger, my parents and brother are obviously unaware of what effect it could have on an autistic person like myself. This is one reason why I would love to move out when I'm older - I can be in control, I can treat people how I wish, I can do what I want.

I don't like the idea of an autistic person being expected to deal with something how an NT would - that is disgusting.

People expect you to behave 'normal'.
But; in some cases, they can cope with (certain) differences because of certain factors i don't really know myself.

If someone gets mad at me, i always presume i'm the one doing something wrong, imho this is safer because you might be doing something wrong but you just don't really know it.

When they told you you were in their way of moving the sofa, you probably really were in their way and they wanted you to move. They needed the space where you were standing. Sofa are big furnitures and people need lot of space moving them. I have been told to move out of the way and I do.

Except I WAS out of the way - where I was standing, they had enough space to move it.

that's what i hate most. to be accused of something unfairly. i have strong sense for justice. i am usually calm person, but this makes me really angry. although, deep-techno, don't be very much in a hurry to leave the house. finish your studies first, so you don't regret it later. just try to learn how to live in the NT world.

I meant that I can't wait to move out - but I am nowhere near old enough.

It also more or less commands you to follow ALL
of the rules of your parents. Something you don't
seem to be doing, in this case.

You're obviously a sensitive person, and others can be so insensitive sometimes :( Why should they get sooo angry about such a tiny thing, even if you actually had been in the way? Grrrr..... I'm sorry you were treated like that.

Not necessarily. I was trying to make the point that bigotry begets bigotry.
