I think my uncle took it out on us for when we got mad the other day. He took pictures of a couple of cluddered tables in the home, showed them to the park manager (his sister) and claimed he wasn't here for a few days and we destroyed his home! We did the laundry, bought food, sprayed for bugs, hung up fly strips and even payed him rent but now we're kicked out with little money and nowhere to go. We tried to ask for our rent back and he refused. This is completely unfair.

I agree!

Your uncle is certainly a weird character. What the hell is wrong with him????

I’m sorry you lost your housing, but hope it works out for the best eventually. Losing my housing was traumatic, but in the long run, it’s been a good thing. Takes a while to get there though.

To whom does this home belong, you or your uncle?

Well, my uncle is the only one technically on the lease. We got an eviction letter last month, so according to the housing people we just asked technically we should have not payed rent but we did but we cannot get it back legally. They said what was done was wrong but not ilkegal. Soon I'm getting a phone call from some lady at the health department that is supposed to help. Sadly I had one job email me just a few minutes ago rejecting me. I had that interview with the people in Seattle and I canceled it, now I have regrets.

That's rediculous, my uncle is telling people the house is so filthy that he can't sleep here anymore he's in his camper,). I was told that I had to take down a post bashing him on FB but it's okay to bash the heck out of me apparently...

Oh, and I contacted the people in Seattle, they agreed to give me back an interview sometime on Tuesday or Wednesday, relocation nightmare and cost of living nightmare but if they hire me it would be worth it if I could make it work. I already have an interview with a local job on Tuesday.

One nice thing about Seattle is the climate is more moderate than the Midwest. Summers aren't as hot, winters not as cold. I suppose you can find a less-expensive suburb to commute from.

I was told the workers usually room with each other to share rent... It would be really hard though to start a job so far away next month with an ill husband in tow. I'm hoping to get the local position, then if I had to I could start work without relocation at least at first and my husbands surgery would be on schedule.

I hope you get the local position, too.

I also hope you get a local position, but . . .

I hope you NEVER have anything to do with that uncle again! Never mind that he has a few positives such as fixing your car. The way he throws your lives into chaos is utterly toxic, and you will be suffering as long as he has any influence over you.

If you've been thrown out, where are you and your husband staying?

I agree. Your uncle sounds pretty pathological.

He ended up not throwing us out... Yet... But he's staying in the camper he bought.
