I heard that the Tories want to make an agreement with Trump to privatise our NHS and that Trump is willing to do it.

This is terrifying. The UK has relied on the NHS for years and it's how most working class people get our health care. Most of us don't have thousands of pounds worth of health insurance because we've always had the NHS. So now me and millions of other people are f****d. If I ever get cancer I will just be left to die in agony because I will never afford treatment.

Thanks a lot Trump, and thanks a lot Tories. Why can't Trump just f**k off? What good does he think he will do the UK by agreeing to take away our NHS? Thanks for killing half of the UK, Trump. I hope you get hanged for this. And people wonder why I support labour.

Just another thing for me to be anxious about.  :x :x

I doubt the British people would go for that.

I want Trump to f**k off, too. I'm tired of the sonafabitch....

But it's out of our control what the government wants to do. The majority of people voted for conservatives, but it's the conservatives that want to privatise because they seem to only care about the rich. I don't know if Boris Johnson is more lenient and empathetic than the rest of the Tories, but surely they can't let Trump throw our NHS away?

that would really suck if it comes to fruition but, how is trump even able to have anything to do with this at all?

are you not a sovereign country?

It's to do with Brexit. Once we're out of the EU, Trump seems to want to interfere with the UK.

The UK has a strong sense of sovereignty. I doubt they would like it if Trump sought to interfere in their affairs. Even Tories.

This is why they did Brexit in the first place. They were tired of taking orders from the EU.

My own opinion is that they should have stayed in the EU.

I've never met a British person who likes Trump. Every one I've encountered thinks he's a "clown."

Well everybody is talking about it, which has made me worry about it more than just reading it from the media.

But everyone is also saying that as soon as Brexit happens the UK will kick all the foreign people out, but I don't believe that will happen. I hope not. I have friends that are foreign here, and they make good workers too (no, not saying Brits are not good workers).

The whole NHS thing is frankly terrifying and I really hope it doesn't work out. If it did I think there would be riots... We like our NHS and I doubt it would be gone for long in the waste case scenario. Or at least that's what I hope...

The moment the brexiters won their initial "leave" campaign, Nigel Farage was interviewed and asked if he could promise the EU money would go to the NHS, and he immediately said "No". Lol. Just moments after they won they broke their promise. The NHS is propped up by many, many EU healthcare professionals who work at the NHS won't be working at the NHS after UK exits the EU. So not only will the NHS not get the money the CONservatives promised that it would but it will also be severely understaffed. It is business as usual for right wingers regardless if its they are from the UK, Canada, US etc. Let the sick, poor, disabled die off and decrease the surplus population.

If I lived in England I’d be raising hell about this. People there should make it known that they’ll vote out any politician that sells the NHS to trump/America, or anyone.

It does sound like trump wants to buy it/make some kind of deal to enrich American businesses overcharging American prices for delivering healthcare to the UK. Hopefully your politicians are not so greedy as to make a deal that lines their own pockets and sells you all out.. but I wouldn’t hold my breath on it - which is why people there need to stick together and collectively make it known that the NHS cannot be allowed to be put up for sale to America or anyone else.

Ha! The UK is ran by Tories, and Tories only care about filling their pockets. It's what they do. They think that everyone in Britain is as rich as they are, therefore will only aim to make the country a better place for the rich. They run down the working class, the disabled and the unemployed. One Tory even said that disabled people claiming benefits to live should be shot (just a matter of opinion, won't actually happen). But opinion or not, I think that's a disgusting thing to say.

I hate the Tories and I will never vote them in a million years. They're splitting the population into two types: the rich and the poor. The country will be paradise for the rich, while it will become a third world country for the "poor".

One of the more annoying things is they also increase the number of people who are poor. I don't remember the exact percentage but the number of homeless people increased by an insane amount since they first came to power. Schools are also a lot worse off and I really feel it as a student who saw what we used to be able to do versus now. Current pupils are very bitter.

Worrying about this has caused me to suffer health problems in the last few days; I've been feeling very tired, unable to focus on anything, and have had persistent headaches.

Some people say that the NHS won't be sold and that most people have been paying their national insurance all their lives. I'm hoping they are right.

If any Tory seeks to sell the NHS to Trump, they would be threatening the sovereignty of the UK.

I’m sorry you’re feeling lousy, Joe.

People do protest, the media just doesn't show it. It is very biased towards showing the tories out to be better and BBC reporters like Laura Kuenssberg (hatchet face) are biased too.

The UK would be under the thumb of the US should this occur.

I doubt the nationalistic Tories would want this.
