I’m really down right now. A friend at work, the one person who I felt was on the same wavelength as me; who understood me, and believed in me, got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I really don’t like anyone else I work with as much as him. I am staying positive that he will pull through, but I’m scared and upset and mad at the world.

I'm so sorry this happened. Cancer is not fair! It takes away too many good people.

Thank you. Although we don’t hangout outside of work or anything I just feel very close to him. I feel a likeness in personalities and like I’m not alone, because I feel I somewhat understand him and I just don’t understand everyone else. He doesn’t care what other people think and isn’t like other people at my work who care about stupid things. I hate cancer. My sibling died from cancer and now my favorite person at work has it. I’m staying positive about his outcome because he is strong, and a fighter but I am still very upset. I let him know what I said above basically, so he knows how I feel. Cancer is unpredictable and fierce but I’m keeping my hopes up.
