I have had it. The council are suggesting (still) that i go home to my parents. I left them 9 months ago and lived basically on sofas for 9 months caus i couldnt go home. They dont believe that I am homeless and are therefore b*******. I could be back on the streets soon and that is not going to happe. I would prefer to be dead than be on the streets again.
I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!! ! I HATE THE UK AND ALL THE B*******THAT ARE IN THIS ****HOLE. WHY CANT THEY HELP ME LIKE THEY SPOSED TO AND NOT JUST PLAM ME OF.

On wednesday I meet my dad after 9 months of not seeing him or speaking to him other than his emotional blackmail emails that he sent me. So thats stressing me out and I am just getting to the end of everything.

People rubbing it in my face that I aint got no family. I KNOW THIS YOU DONT NEED TO TELL ME THIS I AINT F***** STUPID I REALLY AINT.

Would I really be living in a homeless shelter if i could go home to my parents and feel safe about it??

Would I be going through all this s*** if i thought I could go home??

I guess what you need is for the government to give you your disability allowance. Could you find a lawyer that helps people with such cases? Maybe someone in the UK will have better advice. Sorry I could not be any help.

Come over to America. Things are cheaper, and our government is lazier.

jeeze man, true our governement is lazyer and stupider, but cheaper? maby gas prices, but medical costs exceed britans from what I understand, cost of living is more stable in the UK then it is in america, which continues to increase, i doubt he would have it any better here then in the UK.

Does your parents want u to come home, i really think, if u can work things out with them that would be awsome, u only have 1 life man, and its to short to cast off those that have the potential to love ya, whatever problems u had with them in the past, i hope u can fix, afterall, they r your mom and dad.

I agree with woodsman. Go home if you can. I don't know your situation, but if your parents are not sexually or physically abusive and are just driving you nuts, it's still better than being on the street.

I understand where you are with the not being able to go home. I left at 16 but had an attic to rent from a friend (1/2 attic as it was full of rubbish still). I got the usual go home stuff from the council housing advice and they even went to see my mum who put on the charm saying of course I could go back anytime whereas she had said to me if I wanted to go back I would have to basically humiliate myself in front of her and beg. I would have lived on the streets or died rather than go back I hated it so much.
Do you have any sort of job yet to afford food/accommodation?
Another alternative if you are totally destitute and don't want to be on the streets but get no help from shelter is to try religious charities such as Sally Army or Jesus People (try contacting Aspie-for-the-Lord about this, he isn't online so much these days so try his email garyriley1982@googlemail.com).
I eventually got housed by the council after 2 years but only because I turned 18 and had a 1y kid by then and it was a really bad area and bad house.
There are 1.6 million people on the waiting list for council accommodation so if you can find somewhere by yourself it is probably going to happen sooner.

I can relate to what you're going through by the way, and feel exactly the same as my psychiatrist dosen't bother to help and just (after every review) keep dishing out the Prozac, even though it's not doing anything for me.

All I can say to you is take it easy, and try and find more decent help.

heh, sounds like my beleifs when I was going thru middle school, well, a decade later, ive grown up, and I see yes, the world sucks, but their r others who have it much worse then I. U cant change the whole world, but to an extent, u can change your life a bit. Im glad I did not follow others down that road i was going in middle school, they r homeless, lack education, not clean, no chance for a decent life, no family, no friends, and my most important though, no ability to provide for their own family, my number 1 dream in the future is to have a good stable environment ready for the day it occures, not have it be a surprise, but know it is happening and have things in place, so the kid(s) can grow up with even half what I had growing up and still be happy and successful in life.

I dont know how old ya are man, but, i have a feeling in a few more years u may change your mind about a few things. You sound like a nice, smart dude, dont screw up your life, i did for a while, but i turned around and have stuff to show for it, u will too someday, just requires sacrafice, hard work, planning ahead. I hope our friend here who started this post can find what he is looking for, a better life...

To tell you the truth , I'm not surprised if you do .
Stats say that 10% of people will never steal. 10% will always steal and 80% will steal if they think they can get away with it given the opportunity (hence the lack of paper clips in the office.)
So, what you need is a little haven in your mind, a warm and fuzzy place where you are accepted to you and everyone can mostly pay to get in! Just a little place to start with.But it could be a mansion eventually.
Remember NO ONE CAN TAKE THIS PLACE OF PEACE FROM YOU NO MATTER IF YOUR IN THE GUTTER .

Well a bit of an update.
My parents are a joke they cannot be called normal parents. They have no capability to love so I really cant go back to them

If the council wont touch me no one will so I am pretty screwed. I really dont want to be on the streets over winter caus streets and winter = hell on earth.
