What kind of things have you done lately that are not in your comfort zone?

Tell customers no when it was appropriate and necessary to do so.

I took my son trick or treating. It's definitely way outside of my comfort zone, but I'm glad I did it, as usual.

I had some dental surgery that took quite a while. I could barely keep my mouth open towards the end of the procedure. My mouth muscles had given up. :(

Signing up for ball hockey was well outside my comfort zone, but it's really hard to play by yourself so I had to real choice. :nerdy:

Started being firmer about collecting money owed to me. Sent a bunch of texts/couple calls. Collected a fair bit within a few days, actually.

Started saying "No," to lending money I know will likely never be repaid. Enough. Stop the bleeding. I have plenty of other uses for money.

Was very critical of a contractor-partner's financial/business math vs. silent. If I let him do his math (wrong) I'd have lost another few hundred dollars. Then I told him flat out his pricing math is not viable -> there's a reason competitors charge twice as much and it's not that they're price gouging.. it's that they're earning a living and you're not. He shortly after decided we can't work together. Uuuh, no s**t Sherlock.. if we work for the charity prices you're charging clients then neither of us is going to make any money.

I'm on the cusp of getting a few tax paperwork things sorted out, too. It's been a few years and it's stupid to let it all linger and cause stress vs. just deal with it and move on.

I guess I've been channelling my father's "get things done," mentality lately. I know if I don't get out of my complacent comfort zone and get these things done that I won't move forward getting other things done and I'll end up just going through the motions of doing only what I minimally need to and not accomplish any other goals. So, forcing myself to get things done.

I went to a super busy Walmart to buy some cleaning supplies not available at my local Walmart.
I could buy them from Amazon at 3x the price!
After I bought my stuff I walked over and looked at the roads to make sure I left via the easiest route.
Noted the no left turn sign. I didn't want to mess with the convoluted highways.

I beat the lunchtime crowd and bought some chicken tenders at Popeye's near that Walmart.

I was planning to but some 50% off Halloween candy but the store was too busy and I decided to skip that.
Afterwards I went to an Asian market to buy some snacks instead.

I have to drive to the nearest large town to get a full set of tires put on.Two hours round trip.
Will be in a large noisy Walmart while they do it.

Oh I hate supermarkets. In fact I'm not too keen on going out. I wouldn't say I'm agoraphobic well I'm not but I just love my home comforts.

I wasn't like this until about 7 or 8 years ago so I think it's just a time of life thing for me.
