She will NEVER understand that I CAN'T take emotional criticism right now. She doesn't understand that I'd rather be kicked out by a landlord who has nothing personal against me than be bitched about and bitched at by a b***h who cares about me but doesn't care about me. She doesn't undertstand that I CAN'T have people waiting for me like that, or waiting on me, or whatever. Constantly talking about how I have yet to get something going in my life, putting pressure on me. Then making me feel guilty buying me food and I feel like she won't eat it if I don't, you know? She doesn't understand that I'm not the type to have stuff forced on me, I have to do it using MY method. Just because it's different doesn't mean it's wrong. She says it's dangerous for a young girl like me in this city not to have anyone, so I should remain with her. So it's not my fault I have to stay with her. But she insists I tell her EVERYTHING and I don't want to or need to do that. She'll then say that since she's supporting me I have to tell her everything, it's only fair after all she did for me.

I don't feel guilty about sucking her dry, though. You use what you have, right?

Sometimes I wish she would just DIE.

I remember seeing these women on Dr. Phil who suffered from postpartum depression. They got these fears that they would neglect, harm or kill their kids. I feel like I'm going to harm or kill my mother if I don't get out of here soon! I'm going to tell my shrink that, and I'm going to tell him I mean it, I'm not just trying to get attention! If he locks me up, so WHAT?

Damn, that sucks. Of course you can keep things to yourself. And I DO NOT think you should tell your psychiatrist that, you could get put on medicine and locked up, your life would be in a huge mess.

I think you should just move out for a while regardless.
This would give you and your mum an idea of life without each other and may help redefine your relationship. She needs to let you grow up and be yourself and you need to learn appreciation for what she does for you that is good.
It is just as wrong for you to take advantage of her and not feel guilty about 'sucking her dry' as it is for her to use her generosity toward you to try to control you.
If you are both to have a happy balanced relationship then you need to look after yourself and not take from her.

Yeah, definetly dont say anything like that to your shrink lol, they have to tell the cops if you tell them your gonna hurt someone. But I can relate to pretty much everything you said, but just think, we wont have to deal with that crap anymore

And you shouldn't feel guilty about it because you didn't ask to be born. It was her choice to bring you into this crappy world.

My mom didn't even begin to smarten up until I left home. That might be what it takes in your situation, too.

Seems a lot easier than murder.

I feel really bad now. I don't want to hurt her and know I will, but I need to do this... I'll send an email to her telling her why I have to do this.

I think I'm way ahead of her plan-wise and feel I'm not getting the credit I deserve. She's paying for half the rent with her hard-earned money when I could have said the whole room was mine now and I had to pay all the rent... and Social Services would have given me for all the rent. I could have done that and her still paying half the rent, and had some free money! But why do that when I can simply get out and have my own room? I think that's more important... it's not that I don't love her, I just don't like her very much SOMETIMES.

It doesn't make sense... it's cheaper for Social Services to give my mom a ticket back to her mother in Gaspe than to support her, but they support her sometimes. Me? Many people said they'd probably cal my mom and ask if she kicked me out.

I like to use email for some subjects (I have trouble expressing emotion in words). But I have sent emails in the heat of the moment that I have regretted. Don't be too hasty to click on the send button.

I would suggest writing what you want to say, saving it as a draft, and then taking a nice long walk to clear your head. Then come back and look at the e-mail again.

Definitely...and maybe post it on here to get some feedback from other members.
