I've known this online guy from England for like 4 years, and I like him and he likes me, but he won't go out with me because I live to far away. So a couple of days ago I made a plan that he'd fly out to California and take me to prom. I even said I'd pay for his plane ticket AND prom ticket, and he said yes. I was so happy I started like freaking out. But than the next day come and he IMed me and said he's going to a Lamb of God concert that day and wont be able to make it. So I cried all day that day and til 12 in the afternoon on the next day. I guess thats what I get for trusting someone online.....

Have you discussed your feelings with him? You should let him know how you feel.

If this guy continues to ignore you, dump him already!

I would recommending trying again. If he listens, he will see that you care about him. If he doesn't, he's not the right guy for you.

This is very similar to what happened to me at my senior prom.

Ive already learned this the hard way, long distance relationships never work out unless your going to end up living with them or something. Seriously, unless he feels the exact same way you do about him its just not gonna happen, sorry to break your bubble Ive been hurt so many times this way its not even funny, even if I do end up meeting them, but thats just because Im a loser

It's not even about long distance relationships. If someone does things to indicate they don't care about your feelings, they aren't worth your time and mental energy. Try talking to him and if he still acts like a selfish jerk, jump him. You deserve better.
