Ever since I can remember my 4 or 5 year old sister has been getting a way with murder. Whenever she does something I get screamed at about it. Also whenever I try to descipline her I still get chewed out. I mean really is this fair to u I ask. Ever since my mom, sisters, and myself have moved back in with my grandparents into their 2 bedrm trialer house she has been sleeping between my mom and me,smacking, kicking , and grabbing me in the most inappropiate places. It is not fair. Ifeel as if no one is on my side. Also in the past she has given me a bloody nose and a black eye. But if there is one thing have to admit is she is also good at times. Like this past summer she gave me a flower. I am just at my wits end. Please help!

If she is grabbing you at inappropriate areas when you are sleeping in bed with your mother, you might try a female groin protector and something for your chest such as a sports bra when you go to bed. Having those areas shielded will send a message to her that this type of thing is inappropriate when you are trying to sleep.

Sounds to me like you should trade sleeping places with your little sister--let her sleep with your mom, and you go sleep by yourself in her bed and then you'll get a decent nights sleep? Will this work? :D

Hi LoneWolf20,

Have you considered that the move into the tralier may have been hard on her?
Sometimes young kids don't know proper ways to deal with frustration and end up lashing out at others and being irritating.

Have you asked her why she is doing this to you? It may be worth it as there may be a reason behind it all.

I used to have a step sister who would walk around pulling faces at me and tap me on the shoulders when I ask her to stop. I asked her why she always did things that I asked her not to do and she said that she thinks i'm "cool" and wants to "hangout" with me. She was 8 at the time. She felt that I wasn't paying attention to her. There for, when I talked to her more and involved her in things, she was more agreeable.

I know it's not fair that you get the blame for things that she does, that is clearly wrong. Parents feel though, that you are more mature than your younger siblings and CAN MANAGE to stay out of conflict with your siblings, thats why they yell at you. I know...it's screwed up, it's just how they think.
Also, some siblings try to keep the image of being the "baby". That can also effect who takes the blame for things.

Anyway...I know siblings can be annoying. My point is though...they will be doing these things for a reason, not just simply because they want to irritate you.

OMG, play “Parrot”, anything she says, you repeat. Anything she does you do back. Your mom is not in charge, you girls are so work it out with her.

Torture optional…
