yes thats me and im not sorry :evil
does the fact ive not got a diagnosis and ive been a bit obsessed talking about aspergers since i joined mean im not allowed to have a credible opinion? i read a post implying people who are not diagnosed are lying if theyre finding it hard to obtain one.
i personally have not got 500 pounds to go private and it took my country 14 years to get my sons diagnosis right.and whos to say although NOT THE MAJORITY, that everyone else on this site who is dxed has the right one anyway,
DIFFERENT COUNTRIES DIFFERENT RULES!! !!
i thought id accidentally found somewhere after all these years of emotional self tourture that was finally going some way to helping me understand why i am the way i am. but have ended up feeling theres not much point to posting if im just going to get slagged off for NOT BEING DIAGNOSED and not even for something offensive i may of written wich would of been more understandable.IF YOU DONT LIKE MY POSTS FINE BUT AT LEAST BE GROWN UP ENOUGH TO SLAG OFF WHAT I WRITE AND NOT WHO I AM. HAVING A DX DOES NOT MAKE YOU MORE IMPORTANT JUST MORE SURE OF WHO YOU ARE.

Just ignore them as best you can, they show themselves every now and again.
When I'm in a bad mood and that can be fairly often,
I remind them that they might well go to another doc and they very well could tell them they aren't either.
That has happened more then once here.
The older you get the harder it is to figure out, add in the co-morbids and who the hell really knows. If it fits wear it.
There are a lot of different reasons we don't always seek a piece of paper.

I don't like arrogant f***s no matter what label they wear. Had my fill of bullys along time ago.

*shrugs* Don't worry about them.

There can be issues in getting a diagnosis: money is only one of them. Many of us also have some fear of talking to people, and we may have trouble in getting ourselves together and organised enough to ASK for a diagnosis...

Anyway, it's rather hard to verify whether anyone's claims of being officially diagnosed are true, as it is extremely easy to tick the "Have Asperger's- Diagnosed" box in your profile.

Postpaleo makes a good point, too.

Hmm, haven't I seen you before? In the "It's the Deleted Posts Thread!! !", perhaps? :)

At thirty-plus, with child-rearing and other life experiences under your belt, you know yourself better than anyone else does. You mightn't have a doctor's note, but if you're finding that the Asperger model explains why you are the way you are, and helps you make sense of the way you relate to the rest of the world, then why go to the trouble and expense of getting a formal diagnosis?

Postie is right; if the shoe fits, wear it.
