Depressed because of HER

Ever since my break up with my ex, I been thinking so much about finding a new girl yet I somewhat depressed.

I'm like a empty shell of my former self.

I guess this common in the Haven when a post like this comes up.

I always find being single difficult - but at the same time I only believe in meaningful relationships. The gaps in between can be long, and the loss is ALWAYS painful, but... you can't jump into something just to make it feel better. It's like sticking a sticky plaster over a broken leg You just have to wait until you manage to pick yourself up and are ready to really feel that happy again. Don't rush it - just remember that you're not alone in feeling the way you do.

be happy there was a her...so many people can't even find anyone to relate to...better to have loved than never at all? what do you think?

I can't remember the exact quote but it's something along the lines of it is better to have loved and lost love than never to have loved. I guess that's rather like saying it's better to have your ears taken off with a rusty knife than have your legs amputated without anethetic.
