I have about 20 days left of college till summer and I'm feeling overwhelmed about everything.. I have 3 papers to do, tests to study for, finals looming, move out day which is always stressful and I still have to live day to day and do everything that I do day to day, eat and go to classes socialize etc... I always get so overwhelmed around the end of every semester, my grades slip and I stop talking to people and I can't sleep because I'm so worried about my grades slipping and if people will still want to talk to me after so long of not saying anything to them and I can't think straight enough to write papers or anything really.. I just need a long break but that won't come till after everything is over.

Does anyone else get overwhelmed easily? If so what do you do to deal with it? Any advice would be appreciated

I get overwelled all the time. It helps to work on a certain detail/part first- look at the small details not the whole picture.
Good luck. Just be positive and you will do fine.

I honestly don't know how normal students can get these kinds of things done sufficiently to pass classes. I have enough trouble with writing just one paper. (of course it'd be a breeze if it was a subject I was obsessively interested in, but that never happens)

I get overwhelmed everyday.just a mere thought can trigger a neurological storm. I like what the above member said about concentrating on the small details......I shall try this more myself. I would suggest experiementing on a GFCF diet, also squeeze your forearm when extremely overwhelmed, use WP to vent and express your anxieties. Listen to different music that you are listening to recently, try new sounds. Get a guitar, it's my may of creative stiming. Step up yr stims, create new stims

Thanks everybody! Nice to know I'm not the only one. Focusing on details as opposed to the whole picture is a good idea but hard to do. I thought about a gfcf diet but it looks so difficult to do I wouldn't know where to start and don't even know if the results would be worth the stress, is it worth it would you say? How many people have tried this kind of diet?

I've never heard of squeezing the forearm, how does that work? I've heard of motion sick people pressing into their wrists and that helps them, is it similar to that? New stimuli, okay got it
*takes quick trip to itunes store*

I'm sure I'll vent some over this time and I'll do it right here, thx again for the advice and support and good luck to you too, Sedaka I feel your pain
