whenever I try to look at non verbal communication I go into sensory overload from Sensory Integration Dysfunction, it is a scary experience for me and I do not like it. It feels like my mind is being temporarily taken a way fro me and I have lsot all of who I am :( . To make it more difficult I am visually-spatially challenged. If this was not so overwhelming I thin kI would feel happier with myself.

Might you benefit from some private dance lessons?

They can be a good way to become aware of body language and what posture emotes. .

Once you have more of the pieces down individually, perhaps it will not be so overwhelming over all.

I was terrible at non-verbal communication, but I could draw.

I used to take a sketch pad into bars and draw the patrons. I learned a lot about body body language just by trying to catch the physical stance and motions of people who didn't know I was drawing them.

And sometimes I would then trade drawings for drinks which saves a lot on beer money.
