I have tapered down to 4 mgs i feel better though its never enough. Im much less numb and i dont get so worked up all the time. i didnt have choice in taking this stuff, they found out i was an aspie and slapped it on me never asking me what kind of aspie i was. i will so glad when this rat poisin is out of my body and life for good.

Risperdal is a strong anti-psychotic...how did you ever get on that horrible stuff?

anti-psychotic are sometimes ( not uncommon actually, at least in the US) given to autistics to curb SIB, aggression, stimming, behavioral issues, and other aspects of autism that are considered highly negative. Its more common on the LF end of the spectrum, but still some HF people are given them.

5 trips to a mental ward 3 of wich ended at a state facility. got stuck on risperdal 3rd trip, i kept quitting it when i got home, only to have either my father or brother beat me up and or have a toxic reaction to a med and my mother make up lies to the police and the police would force me back into the hospital despite what i said. the whole thing started with too much coffe and not enough sleep.

A friend of mine was prescribed Risperdal for depression. He developed sexual dysfunction due to it. Insomnia is also a side effect, so, if your problem started with too much coffee and not enough sleep, why prescribe Risperdal? Your psychiatrist is a psycho. I trust only one doctor, who's a homeopath, and all of his medicines have worked perfectly with no side effects.

im seeing a naturopath who also does homeopathy and chinese herbs, she has done wonders for me. i wasnt put on risperdal initially, i got sick with a freaky brain inflamation, my parents forced me to go to a psychiatrist and made me take the medication he proscribed wich was zyprexa and zoloft followed by geodon followed by seroquel, till i got fed up with taking quit and my mother tricked me into going down to the hospital where i got shot up with ativan, and was sent to a clinic where they made me take risperdal or be forced to take haldol, i took it and it gave me a grandmal siezure they didnt like that and injected me with thorazine, that had to be the worst thing possible for a human being to feel.

Risperdal caused me to stop masturbating for 3 months.

Ever since I got off it, I'm doing it every other day.

I am on a pill called Invega and it is like Risperdal. My side effects are horrible from it! I had my period stop for several months, it caused my left breast to leak fluid, and most of all it caused a freaking brain tumor on my pituitary gland! Thankfully I am getting off the stuff. I was put on Risperdal a long time ago as well. But as I get off, some of my symptoms are returning. I am NEVER going on Zyprexa! I will NOT be 300 pounds! That is one of the worst medicines known to mankind. It makes you gain 100 pounds and causes diabetes. It basically is POISON! Invega is poison because it caused so many side effects with me. Invega is also an anti psychotic even though I don't really believe that I need an anti psychotic.

I was on Risperdal for over a year. It made me gain a good 30 pounds in all the wrong places...and when you're a 15 year old girl who only wants to be thin, pretty, and accepted by people, it really sucked.

I'm on Abilify now--been on it for two years or so. It works amazingly well for me, with minimal side effects.

And it gets out of my system relatively quickly, so if I want to go to a college party and have a few drinks, I can skip taking the Abilify the night before, and not worry about getting sick.

Have been on rispiridone since july last year when i was placed on 0.5mg. I am now on 2mg of rispiridone and i believe it is actually making the anger burst outs much much worse. I am also on 50mg of amatriptlyne and that just makes me drowzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy.lol
