Getting completely freaked out about something stupid

This is completely stupid, and I know it, but there's been this Wikipedia entry that I know is wrong, that I've tried to expand on and fix over the past week. It keeps getting changed back, etc.

That doesn't really matter, but the thing is, it freaks me out. I don't know why, and I'm more or less calm again now, but for the last few days I'll have trouble not thinking about it, and just feel completely panicked. I can't deal with it. And I *KNOW* in the scheme of things I need to just write it off, and just quit using Wikipedia.

I don't know why I'm like this, why I get triggered into "complete panic" mode. It's not even about anything terribly important in this case. The confrontation about this is (part?) of what freaks me out about it too

During the worst of it I'd probably have tried a prescription medication to help calm me down, if there is such a thing. I can't actually get help from anyone though I hate knowing at different points that there's something wrong with me, with my reactions, and not being able to fix or control it

It's rightfully disorienting and very troubling when someone--especially someone who represents a wider "everyone" to you--persistently contests your version of reality. Reality is such an essential construct for human function. . .

If you're in a revert war on Wikipedia you can always ask for mediation if the other person is editting in good faith. If he's not editting in good faith, you can get him tossed.

Yeah, I posted in the discussion page going back probably about a week. The other guy won't post there. Then he posts on my page that *I* won't post in the discussion page for it that he supposedly started a few days ago

And also. . . I mean, seriously, are you arguing that the holocaust didn't happen?

My curiosity is piqued. . . and it is very hard to make me thing you're a bad person. Pigheaded, stupid, mentally ill. . . but there are very few, maybe no, people in this world that I think of as "bad".

Yeah, I'm not sure what that means either. And no, NOTHING like that at all! For one thing, it's not about anything important. I'm still getting "twinges" of panic about needing to go back and fix this. But thankfully they're not as bad now. I'm just going to quit using Wikipedia ever again (and I used to like it and like what it was trying to do ).

I don't know what's wrong with me though that this sort of thing bothers me so much. It happens semi-regularly with things, significant or not, and I wish I could just relax, let it go, get it out of my brain. But there's something wrong with me I guess where I can't easily.

I really do wish I could find a good psychology-type person to help with stuff. That went nowhere when I tried to get help last November

Yeah, I have ups and downs in terms of anxiety, I still don't know what that's about and sometimes it just goes away on its own without medication.

I'm sorry. . . this seems to me a bit incoherent. I did not mean to call anyone those things, only to state that they are conclusions I am more likely to draw about a person (in general) than that they are "bad."

That's the thing that I'll never understand about modern society. Why typical youth use such phrases and what they mean.

Guys, I think he's talking about ADD (Attention Deficient Disorder...or whatever it's called now), and he's from Finland, and using perfect English, which is a heck of a lot more than you can say about me using Finish (if that's the correct name of the language)
