I most definately do... though kinda opposite. I could never tell the difference, so I learned to just pick one and go with it. ATM I take everything as a joke first because I want to give people the benefit of the doubt... however it certainly doesn't always work.

I feel that way. It's hard to pick up when someone is just joking and not being serious.

I used to. . now it's only an occasional problem.

It is possible, if you work on it, that you could grow out of it. Studying humor helps.

I feel your pain. I've learned over the years to identify sarcasm and humor by vocal tone and body language, but those elements are missing in written text. When chatting with people online or on WoW I miss the humor and sarcasm all the time. I had a big one happen last week, but I stopped caring about the way people think of me a long time ago.

I've gotten better at it... and to me sarcasm is pretty obvious, but on the other hand not getting a joke caused a big fallout with my roomate not long ago, and just two days ago a guy I barely met said I had "nerdish competiveness" and I thought oh crap, even this guy thinks I have AS and is saying something bad to me... but it was suppose to bw a complemt, he said "whats wrong with being a nerd?"
