Any tips on a career?

Hi fellow WP and Aspies. As I have read here and, my family like to force down my throat they want me to get into technology but I'm not sure what! (I can surf the web as I'm doing now and play videogames but other than that nothing!) As some of you might have heard I was suspended from College since I jokingly threatened my Psychology teacher (long story). Anyway while having her class I fell in LOVE with the topic of Psychology (nothing specific just Psychology!)

The reason being is I was doing English 2 class and had to do short stories and for answering the questions I would write one word or sentence and that was it. (I never put thought into them) I then applied basic Psychology stuff (the person is going through depression,sucidal,has Psychological Trauma etc.) and the teacher was shocked (Jaw drop shocked!) she was like "where did you come up with that???" I told her and she said use that train of thought for all of the stories (redoing the questions and applying Psychology over 5+ stories but IT WAS FUN! IMO ANALYZING IS TO ME WHAT MAKING A PB&J IS TO YOU IT COMES NATURAL!! ! and yet my parents don't want me to become a Psychologist in any form (people or the brain of people or ANYTHING!) SO using what I've described what Career should I research because I'm totally CLUELESS!! !! ! Thanks.

Your family may want you to get into technology because the IT field gravitates towards technology which is very favorable for aspies.

Being a psychologist on the other hand is probably one of the worst choices I could think of for someone with Asperger's Syndrome. You have to "know" people to be in this field

Good career choices that I can think of for people with Asperger's Syndrome
Computers such as computer programming, website design and development, repair
Engineering
Accounting: Accountant, Bookkeeper
Healthcare: Medical Lab Technician or Technologist, Medical Records Technician.

These are a few things off the top of my head.
