I'm getting along well with my boss and coworkers. That's a nice change. However, there is a new hire in security who went to my boss and literaly lied about me leaveing the window open the night before last. I had to listen to my boss tell me to close and lock it. Now I'm labeled as "the employee who can't think enough to lock her booth". Mind you, I work in a small booth with nothing more than space for one person. The air conditioner blows air only onto my legs, because it's under the table! SHE get's to work inside the building! My registar is on the table, and the window is right by the registar.

Thank god I empty it out every night. I was so angry that she went and lied about me like that. We havn't even exchanged names. Last night was a stressful pain in my rear end. A few people came by my booth last night as if it was 'important' to hand me their tickets. Despite the gate being wide open. *sarcasum* gee wander why. *end sarcasum* When the gate opens, I stop taking tickets, and do paper work so I can go home!

13 people (ironic isn't it?), drove up to my booth knowing I was there, despite me hideing my head! They sat there to hand me their tickets. One woman even held up the line of cars for a couple minutes. I was so pissed off that my face was red. Which in turn made them give me that pity look I hate. Nice! Now I look like an angry freak to 13 people from one company. What a nice addition to my reputation since two companies that work there have their own employees sometimes telling half truths to people. One customer told me that someone upstairs told her, that she was paying for the one hour validation.

Their company doesn't get billed, this is why we charge people for the remainder of the time. To actualy tell people that it's free like that takes nerve. A: It puts both me and the visitor in a humiliating spot! I get to look like the thief and money grubber ( a very highly degrading label for me). The visitor gets to feel embarased, manipulated, and cheated. Many people came through and literaly bitched in my face "I don't owe anything! They told me I didn't have to pay! LET ME OUT!!" as one woman tried to ram the gate! What BS!

It doesn't stop there! Security sometimes doesn't answer the call button when an employee calls to be let out. I have to get out a card to swipe across the box, get out of my booth and squeese myself between the car and booth, make the person sign their name on the sheet, to let them out. I have no button to go magicaly press and "walah". Doing that is annoying but part of the job. On the other hand, what kind of 'reliable' security person is away from her post several times in one shift. I sit there in the middle of a garage for five hours per shift without pee breaks, so I come home very night dehidrated! I'm not sure if I can count on her in the case of emergancy, so I won't even bother!

One woman last night even came to my window and said she told her to give me her ticket. You guessed it. The part where I stop taking them and do paper work. That security girl knew what time it was, because she had to put info into a computer and open the gate up from the building.  I was over half an hour late getting out. My boss will have to pay me more money, and at the same time, she will wander why I was so "slow with the paper work" last night. *screams* This is getting very hard to take! Every job I get, someone deliberatly tries to ruin me, cause curcumstances beyond my control, and make me wound up looking like a slow, lazy ass hole.

I drive to work every day in fear of loosing for the sixth or seventh time. I couldn;'t sleep last night till I cutt myself. After cutting, I was finally able to relax breath. I hope they are all proud of themselves! They have no idea what they are doing to me! I mean, to just lie to people and put me in those situations. It's not FAIR DAMMIT!! To be fired here would be horrible! The person before me has been given countless chances to stay. She kept being a the kind of person who wouldn't show up for work during the cource of two plus years. She didn't care. They kept her or a long time. If I loose here too soon, it will hurt.... alot!

Photograph your register with that day's newspaper in the background. Keep an archive of it each day. Catch the new hire in a lie and prove it. Stay calm and mechanical about it. Tell your boss you will be doing this so you don't get accused of planning wrongdoing.

Welcome to life in the big city! Why do you think the letters C.Y.A. are so popular in the workplace?

What job do you have? Movie theater?

Didn't you tell your boss the new worker lied about you?

I work in a garage taking gate tickets. Many of the parking spaces are reserved for employees, and just about everyday someone is lost and thinks our garage is the one for the hotel next door. The hotel sign is right in front of it after all. I only told her 'I swere I closed them'. In fact, I had went back to check if I had turned off the air conditioner, so I do believe I did. :)

Lienda

I use to be a car park cashier and I also was given no breaks. I used to go into the alley to pee...not good situation and it is also illegal. Someone should come by every two hours an allow you to use whatever restroom is nearby. If there is an office or business near, your employer should have to make an agreement with them for you to have access to it. I was very young when I was doing this job and didn''t know my rights and was afraid to make waves because I had been fired from other jobs for ridiculous reasons (like not smiling enough and refusing to get a perm 8O ). Some employers will exploit anyone they can get away with but you can fight it with some assistance from a disability advocate and lawyer.

Employment has always been one of my biggest challenges with AS. If I had been aware of AS I would have done things much differently. Do you have any people in your life who can help you get a diagnoses ? I don't question you having AS but you would have more rights if you have an official DX. Needing to cut to relieve the stress of mearly doing a job is what I used to do as well as some other very self destructive behaviors. It doesn't get easier, it gets harder. You shouldn't have to live this way and I do think a DX would be very helpful to you.

As far as the people handing you there tickets....they do not know the rules that you do, many car parks have different rules. In the one I worked in we were supposed to collect all tickets even after our register was closed or the individual would be charged for over night ...these people may think that your company does the same. Remember..they don't know things just because you do. I also don't think most people are intentionally trying to ruin your life, they don't know or care about you as a person and are probably really just thinking about their own crap. If your worried about how your manager perceives you because these late ticket people are interrupting your paper work...perhaps you can tell your manager about it,(they may not be aware of it at all) and ask them for suggestions. Sometimes this works and sometimes it back fires and they just mumbel a lot of nonsense and impractical advice. It helps if you just ask if they will think about it and get back to you rather then try and think of a solution right then.

The exception could be the person who said you didn't lock you window. Some very sick people thrive on drama. They actually enjoy seeing other people get in trouble and feeling important by "catching" someone doing something wrong...even if they have to make it up to get that attention. It doesn't help much but you can tell yourself that they are very sad/sick people who should be in therapy or on "anti-sadist" medication. I just try and avoid such people as much as possible but it isn't easy because they seem to have a radar for picking up on people who are less popular and there for easier to pick on.

I really hope you will conider getting a DX and some help from some one who understands AS. Those are resources that are hard to find, which is why it would be good if you have anyone in your life to help you find the right resourcces. Sometimes I am so tired from just trying to keep my head above the water and stay alive that I don't have any energy left to find such resources mysef. Especially when you are already very stressed and probably depressed.

Feel free to PM me if you think I can help.I have to work 36 hours in the next 3 days but I ill try and check my Pm's.
