I talked to my mom after her doctor appt and she said she is going in to have a colinoscapy and they are removing growths inside her. The doctor thinks this is the cause of her illness.

If all goes well she will make a full recovery!

This fourm is truly a wonderfull place with wonderfull people who are always willing to lend a helping hand!

I am happy your mother is on the mend. When the growths are caught early this disease can be 100% cured.

I'm glad to hear that the hopes and prayers you recieved from your other thread are coming true.

I have to get a colonoscopy every other year to monitor a medical condition I have.

The most difficult part about a colonoscopy is the cleaning out process one has to do before the colonoscopy.

The day before the colonoscopy you mother will only be able to eat clear liquids and the dr. will give your mother a prescription for emptying her digestive system. Usually that's a bunch of chemicals that one mixes with water and drinks within a given amount of time on the day before the colonoscopy.

That's the hardest part of the whole procedure; not eating regular foods, drinking the stuff to make one's system clean out, and having to go to the toilet a lot as it cleans out.
Its a diarrhea that isn't painful. There's just a lot of it for a few hours.

Once that is done, the actual colonoscopy is simply a matter of going to the hospital and being sedated. One doesn't feel a thing when under the heavy sedation.

The dr. will film the whole process and your mother will probably get a few pictures to bring home of the inside of her colon.

I made this post in another thread but I wanted to keep you all informed .

My dad toled me my mom may have colon cancer. The doctors said that the Biopsy of the of the skin they cut off didnt show any signes of it but they need to do more tests to be shure.

I'm so scared and I dont know what to do.

If any of you can continue to pray for her I would be very greatfull.
