Last night my brother had his friend sleeping over, and this morning at 9am (I sleep til noon, I'm a night person) they started making tonnes of noise. I have lost sleep every single night this week because of some little bastard from my brother's class coming over (they NEVER play at anyone else's house), so I come out of my room and yell at them to keep it down. They totally ignore me and carry on making noise. I try and go back to sleep, and then they come into my room and start deliberately pissing me off, so I totally lost it, I ended up smashing a glass against the wall (they're lucky I didn't throw it at them, TBH).

Then my mum comes home, and she flips out at me for smashing the glass, but she doesn't care that they were driving me insane and have been for days. She clearly cares more about the stupid glass than about the time my brother tried to stab me (that would be because she didn't care at all then, and when I bring it up she tells me to get over it).

I may have been the one to go mental and start breaking things this time, but I don't think I can take another day of this. People say you're supposed to love your family unconditionally, but I really hate my mum and brother. I'd rather be homeless than live here.

I realise this will probably be totally misconstrued and you will all tell me to get over it, but I'm going to post it anyway.

i can relate with most parts although i smash the wall when some thing drives me totaly insane (and then it have to be really depressing because i try to keep myself in very badly) i usually get seen as agressive while i am in fact the most less agressive person in the family even after how painful my life is. Getting over it is hard, i still somethimes get painful school/homeflashbacks from years ago and then i completely stun... at this time i'm a little bit down (well i feel alot better then yesterday) but it doesn't matter because after a night of sleep i'm usually free of most horrible things happend that day but then other happens, i find it hard when family yells at you while you should be the one that should yell, but if i would yell then problems get 10 times worse... (some moments are more painful then others, no changing about it :s)
hope things get better

That sounds really unfair. And if your family had done any research into Aspergers AT ALL, then they'd know how torturous the constant noise would be for you, and they would understand why you could easily be driven to the point of smashing glasses.

Talk about double standards; I can't believe that your mum didn't get angry at your brother for stabbing you!! That's plain wrong. Hang in there Gina!

Perhaps try sitting down with your mum and rationally and logically explaining to her how her actions are unfair and she is not only showing favouritism to your younger brother (which is hurtful to you), but also taking no steps to make reasonable allowances for your disability.

At times when I feel my mum is being unreasonable (though it is usually towards someone else), I tend to sit down with her and do this and it works a charm.

People can't fight clear, emotionless, logic.

Um, if your brother seriously tried to stab you shouldn't you go to the police?

Your at the I hate my family phase :x
Unfortantly I think almost everyone goes threw this phase when they get to your age. Dont worry, your family will probably get easier to deal with as you get older, you still got some years before you get to the unconditional love part. :D

I'm in my mid-forties - I still don't like my family. At my age, I still have fantasys about being switched at birth and that this is not my real family. Unfortunately, I look exacly like them.

I love my husbands family. Nothing says you have to love your family. Nothing says you even have to like them. Unfortunately though, you will have to deal with them.

Does your school have a nurse or counselor you can talk to? I really think that therapy will make it so that you can deal with your family in a way that doesn't stress you out as much.

I just read the whole thing again 3 times, am I missing something? Did I say something wrong?
All I was saying is that it seems that most kids dont like there parents at that age.
I could have said that I was abused as a kid and because of that I still dont like my parents, and you may never like them, but since she is young I am saying that things could go great the rest of your time growing up with your family, and you could develope a close relationship with them.
If I said something wrong, I must not be getting it?

I agree with Shivan, maybe a school counselor could help.

God! You need to stab your mother and then tell her to get over it.
