What's the last weirdest dream you had?
I went to college about 3 times, since IRL I was worried about going there, what with all the events of last week's nightmare (I did go in today by the way, and it was suprisingly alright
).
In the dream, I ran out of college, really happy, and I was listening to Foreigner's "I Want To Know What Love Is" on my iPod. I nearly got hit by a car running out the gates, but I didn't care.
This is actually all I remember, since my memories of my dream have been pushed out by other thoughts
.
Last night, not only did I have a dream that I remembered for the first time in a long time, but it was also the worst nightmare I've had in a long time.
I had driven somewhere that I wasn't familiar with to someone's house. Oddly, apart from greeting me, no one ever hung out with or talked to me there. I looked out the window and had the strange sensation that the ground (or the house) was moving in jerky, rhythmic movements. I wrote it off as some odd illusion. It felt like when the car next to you at a stop light moves forward slightly and you feel like you're drifting backwards.
Then I got bored and wanted to go home, so I went out and got in my car and started to drive back the way I'd come in. But traffic was really slow and I heard someone shouting something outside. I had to listen really hard to make out that he was shouting, "Earthquake!" So I hurriedly parked my car in the middle the street and jumped out to see what was going on. Up ahead of the traffic, there was a huge gaping canyon going right down the middle of the street. I looked into it and there were some people lounging around in lawn chairs on a piece of ground that was jutting out deeper into the canyon. They were just sitting there inside it as if they were out enjoying the weather.
Since this was the only road that I knew and didn't know how to leave the area otherwise, I went back to the house I was visiting, which still had no one there but me. The weather, which had been sunny and warm when I was outside, turned into a torrential storm and the sky went very dark. I looked out the window at it and noticed the ground moving again, but this time it was really obvious. I watched it for a few moments, not knowing what I should do, and the rhythmic movements were becoming quite violent. There was also this voice, which sounded like a radio newsperson, but it kept cutting out, so I could only hear one word per second and none of it made any sense. It was stressing me out on top of everything else, but I couldn't find where it was coming from to turn it off. As I was looking, I noticed that the house was sinking into the ground. At that point, I had no choice but to run outside or get swallowed up by the earth. So I ran out, intending to run for my car, but there was a huge crack in the earth between me and it. So I just started to run in a random direction, panicking, but the ground was breaking apart around me and the torrential rain and wind made it really difficult to see.
At this point I woke up in a panic, my heart pounding and unable to speak. It took me a while to calm down after that, because it had been so vivid that I felt like there had to be something happening in reality to cause it. But there was nothing, no noise or anything. It apparently all came from my head.

Did you travel to Japan before the earthquake? Just curious.
No, never been there. That's the first thing I thought of as well, but I don't know why it would cause me to have a nightmare any more than any other disaster in my lifetime.
The only disaster I know did cause me to have nightmares was a plane that crashed near my house when I was younger, killing all 132 people on board. Every couple years, I still have dreams of either seeing planes fall out of the sky or being in one that's falling out of the sky.
A couple of nights ago:
I dreamt that the world was overtaken by zombie-demons, and I had no weapons. There were one or two other people with me, but I didn't know them. Having no weapons, we needed to try to hide, so we went to the very top of the large building we were in, into the rafters. I was standing on the rafters looking around when I noticed my hand felt weird, so I looked at it and noticed two worms peeking out of the meat of my thumb. I was horrified and embarrassed. I tried to pull them out, but I could not, so I broke them off and hid my hand from the others.
We set out across the rafters, but soon came across an unusually powerful zombie-demon. He was smart and agile and he knew we were there and that the only route we had to take was to pass by him, so he waited.
Gets a bit fuzzy from there.

i dreamt i was in some timeless place out in nature, not of trees but of shale and sand, of strange ruins of buildings thousands of years old, and abandoned caves in mountainsides. the sand was everywhere, and it was a weird carnation-pink color, and very pebbly. there was old-fashioned rock and roll music [50s and 60s-style] and bright colored lights coming from one of the caves, so there was a small crowd of people with me who scampered up a sandy path to the cave where the music was coming from, but when we got to the cave mouth, the music stopped and the light inside went dark. as soon as this happened, the crowd just vanished, leaving just me by myself. i walked back down the path to the ground, only to find that the mountain i was on started crumbling. i tried in vain to shove large boulders [i had superhuman strength in this dream] underneath the rolling sand, to buttress the collapsing mountain, but it started overwhelming me and i ran backwards to the abandoned buildings. rocks and boulders and sand were flying back towards me as i hid behind a big rock. after the mountain finally settled down in a somewhat smaller condition, a rockola video jukebox materialized in mid-air to my right, and on it was playing an old newsreel of bing crosby and the andrews sisters in monochrome, singing "don't sit under the apple tree, with anybody else but me." to my left, a cloud materialized with a ted-turner-colorized [monochrome original] image of the late actor james coburn, in green fatigues [costume] as an army major, and he was saying "kill 'em! screw them all, screw them all!" in his inimitable bass-baritone voice, and while he was saying this, i was marvelling at the fact that such language could be heard in a hays-office-era [30s through 50s] war movie clip. then i awoke.

Warning! The following may contain shopping, gourmet cuisine, and/or the curb-stomping of a giant killer robot. Viewer vexation is advised.
The Whirl would bee united very soon without me sending a letter to Krazy Kat. On the other hand, doing that, many huge NOs of time may get killed terrifically in the process. THEY were the WEATHER TOONS, and I had to have Sonic stop them. He did, by simply beating MAG-SPANKIN'-NETO! WHERE YO CURLEH MUSTACHE AT!?
Game set.
I had a dream that I killed my mom. I didn't actually dream about the act; the dream started afterwards. I was covered in blood and I just knew what I had done. I didn't feel anything about it, just numb. My brother was devastated and didn't forgive me. My dad gave me the cold shoulder. I spent the dream trying to hide what I did from my sister.
When I woke up from the dream, I felt like crying for a couple of hours afterwards. I love my mom very much and I would never do anything to harm her. On the contrary, I would protect her with my life without a second thought. I will be hysterical with grief when the time actually comes for her to pass away in real life.

I had a odd dream where I was in this old fashioned home (think like a old germantown kinda building) that was filled with very beautifull and detailed russian nesting dolls. It really was beautifull unti l I realized that the Wraith from Stargate Atlantis where hiding around corners and trying to drain me. Todd was the only one who didn't he seemed too facinated with the dolls and wanted a explination for why they were there.

please sir, let's have more of your dreams
My dreams haven't been that weird of late.
I had a few weird ones a while back, but they were of an adult nature. So I made a thread in the adult section of the board for them.

The weirdest dream I ever had was travelling through a Mandelbrot Set when I was at boarding school in 1963. I felt very ill at the time and I could not make head nore tales of all those strange looking black bugs and swirling spiral patterns in colors I have never seen in reality. I was not until I saw a documentary in the 1980's it prompted memories of what I saw it an they were exactly like the dream I had.

I dreamt I was going to the Chinese restaurant where my 18th birthday party was held. There were piles of paper plates (in real life the plates are ceramic) and I took one and put a load of food on my plate, but then the plate ripped and there was food falling everywhere. Every time I got a new plate I kept dropping food or the plate ripped or shrunk. I was getting really angry at this point, then the plates turned ceramic and I was relieve but wait... the plate is now paper again! I was that angry I screamed and kicked something, then my mum found a tall bowl in the cupboard, I was sure not to lose any food in that. But something happened where I couldn't use it so I was too pissed of to care, so I just took 2 chicken legs and a handful of curly crisps and just shoved the crisps straight into my mouth, the was the only food I could get anywhere near.
