More specifically, what are your friends/acquaintances like? Also, what age group do they fall into. This is not a friend contest, vale?

For me, most of my friends tend to be nerdy in some way, be them Otaku, rpg nerds, gamers, furries, sci-fi/fantasy nerds, larp nerds, and the like. I tend to be more personal with competent, socially aware nerds and silly around those who aren't the most competent or aware of the bunch or who I don't know well enought to engage in serious conversations. I'm very good at employing facial expressions and vocal change for comedic effect and for this reason, I have a lot more friends than I used to when I was misanthropic and introverted. However, because the real me is still an introvert, I rarely get close to many of these people.
Most of my friends are between 15 and 30.

I don't really hang out. I suppose that's why I have no RL friends.

I understand what that feels like. I was that way for about 6 or 7 years.

I've been this way since I can remember. I'm around people usually only when necessary. I only have an urge to socialize after months of not.

All walks of life and all ages. I never saw the point of identifying myself by the people I hanged around. I don't seem to attach myself that far with people anymore. We do things but it is not like we're close or share anything confidential. Really I've only been close with a few people in my lifetime. It seems like a huge effort to form those and they're hard to move on from when it comes to an end.

I don't "hang around", but i prefer talking to odd people.

In my old town, there was this eccentric guy, one of them "think outside the box" people that i used to share ideas with.
Another one was a retired engineer that i met regularly at the bus stop and talked about technology - i don't even know his name.
A third example was an old woman who had serious Autism symptoms.
Also metal/goths, geeks and other open minded people - the type that doesn't talk about weather and sports.

I don't like most normal people and i totally have no interest in "tie-culture" - the typical business people, they are unimaginative, slow to change their thought processes and only focus on making money. There is no room for free thinkers in their boring grey world.

I don't hang out, I talk to homeless people a lot. They have some interesting stories and perspectives.

But, I seek out educated yet apathetic people. (meaning they don't use their education for a career, rather a hobby) Generally they are male and between the ages of 30's to late 50's. Most of them are old hippies. And these connections are made in an effort to learn from them. So still not "hanging out".

Homo sapiens, or very close approximations.

I don't think I've spoken to anyone my age for five months.
And I almost can't believe I just wrote that :(
