I live in a McMansion. Basically it's a large house (ours is 5,600 square feet) with the nice qualities of a mansion, but not quite the size. Just think of it as a nice house on steroids.

I live in a one-story house, about 1600 square feet. It was built in either 1980 or 1981, and I have lived there since August 2000.

Some horrible student apartments. I have to deal with the damned kids being loud all the time. It was bad enough when I was young, but now that I'm a crotchety old man (as opposed to a crotchety young one) it seems worse.

I live in a reasonably sized 1-story house. It doesn't have a certan theme (eg painted pink with lots of flowers and doilies ect). We live in the country so we don't have to deal with many idiots. It's not a bad place to live.

I rent the ground floor and basement of a three story house.
It is not as noisy here in York, PA as on Long Island.
And I pay about half as much in rent as I did on LI for
twice as much space.

Cuurently living in a home built in 1899, 2 1/2 bedrooms, an ancient furnace and a beautiful boxed ceiling in the dining room. They don't make houses like they used to!

At my mom's, it's an average sized one story, and at my dad's, it's a small two story.
