You know what I hate about the holidays?

Bad things always seem to happen to people around this time of year. Would you guys agree with me?

I could go on and on forever about things like cars breaking down, ovens, washing machines, dryers, and the fridge tearing up causing you to spend money you don't have to replace them, tragedies within the family, experirncing a robbery, etc.

I bet you guys have often experienced things like that too around the holidays huh?

in the last week i lost my job, my girlfriend thinks im insensitive and wont change for her even though i tried explaining about autism and that its not that simple and she's gone to stay with her mum and dad so im alone.

so yep, the holidays havent gone the best for me

so was i buddy, im gutted. i feel like ive walked in to a storm and right now a tornado is throwing everything at me

I don't remember our household appliances going completely bonkers on us at Christmastime except for my parents oven, and that happened on a lesser holiday or a birthday.

What I really DO hate about this time of year is the abundance of germs and viruses. People are indoors more often where the air quality is poor, the adults are stressed out, the kids are too excited, and a lot of people don't take good care of themselves during the holidays (or worse care of themselves as usual, anyway). People at crowded parties and meals are practically sharing each other's bodily fluids without even realizing it.

My social worker canceled our appointment this week because she had a stomach virus. I hope she didn't eat any romaine lettuce before getting sick because it could be E. coli.

Actually, yeah. One year we had an elderly loved one in our family pass away in between Christmas and New year's, and a good friend of the family had a house fire one Christmas Eve (luckily they managed to put it out before it done too much damage). Why do these things happen on Christmas?

My grandpa died shortly after Christmas last year. He had Alzheimer's & was put in a home shortly before Christmas. He got pushed & fell & broke his ribs. He wasted away after that.
My aunt died of lung cancer Monday which was 3 days before ThanxGiving. She had been fighting it for a while & having some complications where she needed to be given blood periodically. She was staying with my grandma & was doing pretty well Sunday but wouldn't wake up Monday.
This may sound callus but I'm not close to any relatives including my own parents which I'm closest to so i don't feel that bad thankfully. I still feel bad thou but I'm more worried about my mom & other relatives having to deal with it.
My girlfriend put her cat down a couple years ago shortly after Christmas. She was having bad kidney problems. I feel pretty bad about that & for my girlfriend.

March, August and October are the worst months for me. Something bad always seems to happen in those months. I have always found the holiday season to be one of the best for me.

I hate all of the crowds and the noises that come along with the holidays. My Aspie-ness kicks into overdrive, and it stinks.

So far this year our trailer in Georgia needed to be rewired which costed money we didn't have, my mom's truck got wrecked so she's had to fix it, and somebody threw a brick at my sister's car while she was driving and busted her car windshield. I'm so glad my sister and her boyfriend weren't hurt.

This has all happened within the last couple of months.

This year has been good for me so far, not too bad anyway. It started of a little shaky with family member's health and then I was hospitalised twice because of my immune system not doing its job, but its been a good year I think. I've got on well with work, sort of. And I've been trying to work on my communication skills and controlling my anxiety which has gone semi well. I hope 2019 will be more successful for me. I enjoy the holidays but not how busy and rushed they become, it becomes really horrible for someone who doesn't like loud noises and crowded places.

It’s been 7 years, but Mom passed away around this time of year, after nearly bleeding out on me from a peptic ulcer 90 days earlier. The psychiatrist had me on a very nasty SSRI called Viibryd, which had me stoned out of my mind so badly, my brother’s started blaming me for killing her off. They would have rather I live on the streets, and could have cared less if I died there.
